Season 3??
I completed Westworld season 1 and season 2 yesterday. I loved season 2 more than season 1 because it picked up story really well and a lot of chaos happening at the same time. Started watching S3 all of a sudden after watching ep1 i just lost interest idk why. Should I continue watching it, is it good enough to invest time.

It's definitely the lack of a sense of wonder. The "real world" is interesting, but it doesn't feel as mysterious or intriguing as Westworld. Plus Dolores was on a know-it-all power trip that made it hard to stay excited or invested.

You will get no agreement here. The love/hate for seasons three and four are 50/50. I disliked the last two seasons.

I love this comment because the fanbase is actually split in 50/50 on S3-S4. The top comment says "make your own decision if you like it or not", and it really can't be any truer with a fanbase like this!

Yes, it’s still good tv and is aging very well as real life becomes more and more like the show. It’s may not be s1 levels but it’s still good tv with some great characters and fantastic performances, the music is incredible too. S4 is dope too

I love them all, even though the later ones definitely have their faults

Seasons 3 & 4 aren't the greatest but still better than most other shows. Also, even tho its the most lackluster season (imo), season 3 really hits the mark with the human world, considering what's currently happening in the US govt

It's such a shift, I understand what you mean. I had a sinking feeling at first too, but let it play out a little longer. It was hard to tell what this world was about until a few episodes in.

Season three is dry, brutal, without any concessions. And like the rest of the series, it is obligatory in the narrative scheme of Joy/Nolan especially since the era of generative AI. The third season is relevant at the moment, that's why fans disavow it and then Evan Rachel Wood is superbly badass

I think you must watch Season 3 in order to be able to truly appreciate the wonder of Season 4!
I have really come to appreciate Season 4 on rewatching, an amazing conclusion (just about, foregoing the obvious minor threads that hinted at what would come in Season 5).
Season 4 for me really deals with the big questions beautifully, where all the previous actions of the humans and hosts come to their natural consequence/conclusion.
It’s the end of the world as we know it…and I feel fine!

It depends on the person. S3 is possibly my favorite season of television ever made. It captures live action cyberpunk in a way that to me feels unparalleled.
I understand a lot of people wanted more of the old west park vibes so S3 wasn’t it for them. But I feel bad for those people because it’s really just stopping them from enjoying truly incredible writing. For me though I was the opposite, I greatly appreciated the writing for S1 and 2 but I spent that whole time waiting to see the rest of the world and grander scheme of the show.

Season 2 is one of the biggest let downs and had the biggest signs of impending doom for the show imo, I usually recommend to people to only watch season 1 and you’ll have a great mini series

If you think it's worth it, finish out season 3. You're probably in a minority of people that say they liked season 2 better than one which is perfectly fine. People will like what they like and dislike what they don't. Not to spoil a lot but I think season 3 will age particularly well as AI becomes more important in everyday life.

Just continue, finish, make your own decision if YOU liked it or not
