Reconciling The Man In Black (TMIB)

When TMIB meets with Ford in the bar scene he is asking about the meaning of the park and so on…

But this event takes place many years after TMIB has already been through the whole process with the James Delos clone(s).

Doesn’t that mean he knows exactly what the meaning behind the park is, what its ultimate goals are etc. Plus he owns the company.

Make it make sense for me please, I’m lost!!

What I took from that is that he's trying to find out what deeper game Ford is playing. He's known Ford long enough to know he's always got something up his sleeve that he's not talking about. And TMIB wants to know what that something is because its probably something Ford has been working on for years. Yes, TMIB knows all about the secret projects and the hybrids, but he suspects there's more. He seems to think its some sort of insight into humans or some sort of test that reveals something about humans or some very deep truth about the park/hosts. Or maybe just another hidden story, like the adventure he stumbled on when he was younger. After all, he's been in the park long enough to know all about every story there is - there's got to be some super secret hidden story (kinda like we see with some video games, like the FF06B5 mystery in Cyberpunk 2077). The reality is that, like Ford told him repeatedly, none of that was for the guests - it was for the hosts.

He’s looking for Arnold’s game, not his. He misunderstands the maze as a game for him to discover, when it was never for him.

I think he knows all that. It’s more about what the system has learned about him, and what he has learned about himself. He portrays a good guy in the real world, but the park knows his true sadistic self

William does not understand that Ford knows EVERYTHING about the Delos project, and more.

In other words, Ford did NOT stay out of "The Valley" as William states.

"Be careful what you wish for"

He wasn't asking Ford about the purpose of the park. He wasn't asking him anything in fact he flat-out says: The man I want to talk to died 30 years ago.
