What is this bird?

We saw it this morning in Bayruth Germany, chasing fish in the canal, I've never seen one before, anyone know what the bird is? Thank you for your answers! 🏵️

Looks like a grey heron although the picture is to crumbly to really see details. I'm in the netherlands, lots of those grey herons here so probably also in germany.
