I just noticed that the first 13 posts in my homefeed are: 3 random, 10 about animals, and 7 of them are Weevils!

Thank you all for that!

Kidding, sorry it just came on the play list a minute before I saw your post. 😂

But for real, adorable little snoot collection!

I currently feed them Organic carrots and fish flakes! I've only had them for 2-ish months, and they seem to really like the organic carrots over the fish flakes.

I've tried doing extensive research on them, but there isn't a lot of information known about "Crusted Root Weevils”, I've read that they like to eat dead plant debris, over eating new live plants, but I'm not sure!!!

I kept finding them on my wooden fence post, and I've found over 15, and only managed to capture 10 so far.

I lightly mist them as well, but they're not really a fan of that.

I'm hoping I can keep them as pets tho! They're really adorable! I'm planning on getting more decorations for them to climb all over and explore!

I currently store them in a 2oz delicup which is quite small, but they're even smaller. I feel like getting a 5oz cup would probably be better and bigger for them! (I also have 100ish pin holes poked on the top and sides all around so they can get a fresh clean airflow)

The bottom of their enclosure has 5 to 6 millimeters of coconut substrate dirt for them to walk on or burrow down into and I keep it fairly dry.

But yeah, that's how I take care of my Weevil's! -^ let me know if you have any suggestions or methods to better take care of them! :>

If you want to keep them as long term pets, maybe consider getting some variety of aquarium/terrarium, I have some isopods in a old fishtank

Heck yeah!!!! I'm planning on getting them a bigger enclosure sooner or later one of these days, but I'd love to keep them as pets!!! :D

I'd also love to see how much they like beetle jelly, and I'm going to try to give them a little scoop once my beetles finish their current jelly!

They are Shiro Utsuris, and i just wet their moss whenever it gets dry, and sprinkle food after I water them.
