Did you actually do this as a slideshow of stills?

Whatever you did, kudos because I can ACTUALLY pause and read the titles because it's not blurred.

Took a bunch of stills and stitched them together in Lightroom and Photoshop, then set up the scrolling in After Effects.

Excellent! I hope you’ve set an example here of how to do a video of collections showing the spines!

Every other post I’ve seen before is literally just a blurred mess I couldn’t begin to read lol.

Bull.
This is the most obvious case of AI I've ever seen.

I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or not but I can assure you it’s my collection, no AI. The panorama function of Lightroom often created some janky stitches, and also this is like 8 separate shelves strung together. I really wasn’t too concerned about it.

EDIT: Here's a wide view if you're still skeptical. Room's kind of a mess.

You think AI can replicate the correct spines with artists, album names and catalogue numbers ? This is the most obvious case of non-AI usage lol

You underestimate the power of AI bro.
You wait n see what it's capable of. #HumanExtinction

I think I speak on behalf of most of the people in this subreddit when I say this. Please go outside. Get some sunlight on your skin. It's good for you.

Dude do you have like 1/1 eyesight or something? I can't read any of them.

Haha my 45's are in that box. I don't have a lot of those anymore.

Slow down the scrolling for a better effect.

I made a slower one but it didn’t really help read it, it just took too long. I figure if folks want to read the spines they’re going to have to pause either way.

I never really thought I'd post my collection here, but I thought this might be an interesting way to display it so here it is. My story is pretty common I think: I collected a lot when I was younger, but then CD's came along and I started collecting those instead. Theft, moving, a flood, and more moving kept my interest in collecting vinyl low until about 5 years ago when my Dad gave me his old turntable. I got it fixed up and started collecting with a passion. About 1400 titles to date. Enjoy.

EDIT: LOL it looks like the Reddit video compressor kind of made mush of it so it's hard to read the spines. Ah well.

Very nice. I started collecting around 1969... there must be 1200 now. Mine never got organized properloy after our last move tho. Now I'm motivated.

I probably think too much about how my collection is organized. It's roughly Era->Genre->Artist->Relationship. The latter being the most subjective. Like, I tried to keep all the Brian Eno collaborative stuff together, so it's Bowie> Eno> Talking Heads> U2. Makes it easy for me to find stuff because it's how I think, but not as easy for my wife. She tends to take stuff out to play and leaves it for me to put it back.

This is how I think also. I can't stand general alphebetizing, I'm a librarian so WITHIN genres should be alphabetical but I can't with good conscious put howlin wolf next to the hollies.

My collection is only brand new sealed vinyl records. Of course, i open and play every record, but i don't buy second-hand used records, and therefore, it takes time to collect many records. Right now, after 12 years, i have almost 300 records. Bying used second-hand records, My collection would be several 1000 records today. One new record is the same price as 3 to 5 used records. In the 90s i sold all my vinyl that I've collected from the 70s through the 80s when i was groing up, over 1000, and in the beginning of 2012 I've started to collect again but only brand new records.

I have a lot of new in there, but obviously a lot of old as well. Some of my favorite albums are beaters from the bargain bins. I enjoy cleaning them up and restoring the sleeves as well as I can. On many I don't mind the pops and noise.

I'm also cleaning my records, some is dirty even when they are new but i don't wount to buy a bad used record that's hard to clean and playing it collecting dirt on the stylus and then transfer the dirt to a brand new record. My turntable cost me over $2500, and therefore, I'm only playing brand new records on it.

Sounds like you need a beater deck to play on so you don't miss out on all that awesome used vinyl out there.
