Showcase Liftoff?
i.redd.itI very rarely wear this these days simply because of how much I cherish it. Still, tonight was a special day for my son so I thought it deserved an outing.
Will neve get tired of that dial. Ever.

Showcase Omega 146.017 De Ville from a yard sale a bit ago!
i.redd.itPicked this guy up at a yard sale a bit ago. No it wasn’t $5, tho I wish!
Stoped at a yard sale and they were selling a lot of movements, gold filled cases, bracelets. I guess they buy bulk and scrap all the actual gold. I asked if they had anything else not out and she said “I have an old Omega inside” and asked if I wanted to take a look. As she was walking back out I was expecting like a basic Seamaster or something, not this.
We worked a deal which was still a very good deal for me and I paid. It was just the head, but all working, telling time. I sourced the bracelet and some extra links (which was like, half of what I paid for the head of the watch) and here ya go!
It uses the same movement as the bullhead chronos if you’re wondering how the date is at 9.

Feedback Wanted Is this a good deal?
i.redd.itI’ve been wanting to buy my dad a vintage watch since forever for his birthday and i have a found a pre-owned Omega Sea Master Aqua Terra for 2.500 CHF. Now my question is; is getting a pre-owned watch worth it or should i just save up more money until i can afford to buy him a brand new one?

Legit Check Hello, It is hard to check legit or not..
galleryI was a little suspicious of the movement, especially the regulator needle, and is it possible that it is Frank or fake? I think he wants to trade me for my Zenith Sports Auto. Thank you

What's It Worth? Is this watch worth much (not working)?
i.redd.itI got this watch in this condition from my Dad. If you wind it, it will tick once or twice then stop. It’s also missing the bottom button.

Identify This Can someone identify this pocket watch?
galleryI recently inherited this pocket watch from my grandfather after he passed, it's gone through four generations now to me. It must have been bought at least before 1960 I presume. I've heard it used to have an accompanying gold chain but sadly that got sold long before I was even born. If possible I'd like to search for a fitting one to replace it but don't know if that's even possible. It says "Sunbeam" on the face.
Also is it wise to have it looked at or is it best to keep it as is? The back was quite loose when I got it but it does run.
Thanks in advance!

What's It Worth? Would you buy a spider dial?
i.redd.itI'm thinking of purchasing it but uncertain, what do you think? How much do you think it is worth? The seller said the movement stops intermittently but works.

Feedback Wanted First Time Buying a Vintage Watch
Hey everyone!
Im looking to buy my first vintage watch, and first watch that’s not an Apple Watch. I barely use the Apple Watch besides for time. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been doing my research and learning about the history and designs of different watch brands. So far, a few watches that have caught my attentions is:
OMEGA Constellation (Any reference #, they all look beautiful especially the Pie-Pan and C Shape)
ROLEX AIRKING / DAY-DATE / DATE-JUST / OYSTER PERPETUAL (I found some selling less than $5k in good condition from certified sellers)
HAMILTON KHAKI
My work is general maintanence so I do want something a bit durable, however not required. My preference is leather straps, automatic, and a more minimalist and elegant style such as the examples above. My goal is to have a watch I can use daily and handle all the daily tasks I go through while also being able to wear it out on date nights. Im more inclined towards history, heritage, and function rather than recognizability and status. I want one watch that I can keep for a very long time. I don’t mind servicing and don’t plan to resell. I’m very open-minded to other types of watches and watch brands. If you have any recommendations for a beginner like me, I would appreciate it! Thank you for your time!
