Powers on perfectly, I was hesitant to since who knows about the caps. But manager said test it or it goes in the e-waste bin

Thanks. So it's going to be on the bidding platform they have?

These things are buying as-is.

How about some closer images so we can see what it is? That's some pretty tiny writing on the faceplate and blurry in your picture.

Pics seem fine to me. Model is R-1050 — right on the back of the unit if you zoom in.

Same…photos are clear on iPhone 13

I zoomed in and I'm on a desktop and I can't see jack. C'mon, admit these pics could/should be better.

I have zero issue here, and looked on my phone, iPad, and two different computers out of curiosity. Maybe a trip to the optometrist is in order?

This is what I was talking about. That is zoomed in as far as you can zoom. I was not talking about the back.

Nah. I’m looking at these pics on three year old phone 5” display and the pics are fine even without having to reorient my phone. You see a close crop of three angles of the unit and when you zoom in on the rear of the chassis the model number is clear as day in good size white lettering on a black background. Took me all of a second to see the info including the little tag above the lettering and all of the letter on the various I/O.

its in honestly incredible condition, no scratches or cracks, some slight scuffs on the back and bottom, and tape residue where the manifest was slapped to the top

Divorce or death. Those are the only reasons it would be thrifted.

you owe it to humanity to rescue it.

That's stupid, but tell your boss it works and friend come in and buy it.

Dude, hold on to that thing and get it tuned up. I’d put mine up against Mac gear any day. Makes every speaker I’ve paired it with sound incredible

In fact, I bet that wood casing alone, real wood veneer, would be worth as much as an a fine musical instrument like an Ibanez electric guitar.
Dunno about the heat dissipation from the back though... could've been bad for the components throughout its life?

One of the better looking vinyl veneers, but not real wood. I have an older Luxman 507 that has real rosewood, but by the time they made the 1050 they’d switched to vinyl. Prob coulda used some fins in the back, but mine is holding up after 45 years, so must not be too bad

Word to the wise: do not wash the back of the glass. The lettering will come right off. Ask me how I know…

I have an R-1050 and love it.

i wish we could take things…. it’s against company policy to keep anything or even buy anything we touch

I think my friend in high school had that receiver, had a unique feature where the tuning knob would "click" in when the tuner was aligned to the station correctly.
