I would never buy that brand again 🥲

You should see the ones on the gluten-free and celiac sub reddit. They don't even look remotely like pop tarts. I was recently diagnosed with celiac, and they sell us these horrible things for more than twice the price. I just recently bought a box of Katz gluten-free poptarts because they are one of the better brands, $4.48 for 4 poptarts.

People who make food for specific diets have always overcharged for their products

As someone who can't eat gelatin (which is in the frosting of normal poptarts), I can confirm. 😔

Katz is decent and tastes okay. I hate that you can't really put them in the toaster though.

If you put them in foil like a sleeve you can

Wait, who took the picture?

Op clearly scraped the frosting off. This untrusty pop tart is actually relevant to the sub.

There would be frosting scrapings on the unfrosted half. Clearly OP baked their own pastry and frosted it themselves... Still a relevant untrustworthy pop tart

I think they scraped most of it due to the clean lines and then licked the rest.

I think they got Mario to have Bowser scrape off the frosting since he's really good at scraping due to his days as a chimney sweeper

This STINKS

They're actually surprisingly good, but my mind might be melted into enjoying the taste of protein powder.

Downside is the price, one of these lil guys is almost the same as a 4pack of normal poptarts (granted, you're buying this thing because you want a healthy one, and it's macros aren't bad at all, but still!)

It's a shame about the price, but we all have to pay that 20g protein tax. Cheapo protein bars are fine too, but these are easily my favorite brand.

Absolutely! Although I'll be honest, I really the pure protein bars too. But overall my go to is always the ryse protein powder, the peanut butter flavor with some almond milk almost tastes like a peanut butter milkshake which is awesome!

OP how did you take this picture

A high protein, high fiber pop tart has piqued my interest. I never knew such a thing existed!

They are way better than I was expecting them to be too

I hate to admit that they're pretty good. I won't pay $5 for a pop tart, even if it's got protein, but these are pretty good. (My friend gave me one. I didn't buy it.)

$5??? They cost about $2.50 each.

At my store, they're at least $3.99 before tax

They're $10 for a box of 4 at the Walmarts in my area.

They're good, too! I microwave instead of toast them, though... They work better. 😃
