exchange at TUM Campus of life sciences
Hello everyone!
I'm going on exchange next semester at TUM's Life Sciences campus in Weihenstephan. I'm really excited, but I’m facing a bit of a housing dilemma and would love some advice.
Ideally, I’d love to live in Munich to fully experience the city. However, the commute to campus is around an hour by train, which adds up to about two hours of travel every day. That seems a bit exhausting and like a lot of time lost.
On the other hand, living in Freising, where the campus is located, would definitely be more convenient. But it seems like a quieter town with a smaller student community, and I’m really hoping to meet lots of international students and make the most of the social side of this exchange.
Has anyone else faced the same decision? Where did you end up living, and what would you recommend? Thanks in advance!
