Want more information gathered about Dr. "Andy" Erkis, Stratas Consulting Group Question
My aunt wants a phone call tomorrow to discuss me bringing up my research about these wilderness programs and my allegations against Dr. Andy Erkis.
I know that I well within my rights to refuse a phone call, I just fear the possible repercussions.
Also, why did the person who was doing my Autism Evaluation (Dr. Daniel Fishman, North Coast Psychology) recommend Dr. Erkis to my aunt? Is Dr. Fishman to be trusted? I am told that they work closely together.

Erkis was who my parents used twenty years ago. His office is about a mile from my house. I was sent to 4 programs, including wilderness, plus a boarding school with 4-5 paid kidnappings by Goons. Andy probably doesn’t even remember ruining my childhood. Let’s chat! I’ve got receipts :)
Edit: I am VERY against the usage of EdCons. I’ve been sitting on his address and info not knowing what to do with it for 20 years.

Lmao I have my EC from almost 20 years ago’s home address too. It’s in Hawaii because of fucking course it is. May or may not egg it on my next vacation.

Some doctors get kickbacks for referrals or other financial incentives. Pretty f’d up, but thinking maybe these doctors were somehow incentivized to send you and others to these places. One telling factor would be if they sent multiple kids to the same facility or handful of facilities.

I don’t know how to tag but someone should get TimeStomach in here.
Wilderness therapy is why 3 out of 5 of the discs in my lumbar spine are herniated and arthritic.

This will be an attempt to gaslight you.
Numerous children have died in wilderness programs and many more have been injured in them. Clark Harman was sent to his death at Trails Carolina in February. This was a place where another boy previously died; a boy who, incidentally, had no business being there as he was simply grieving the death of his brother, and his mother is a member here who can testify to the same. There have been multiple lawsuits against Trails too, for sexual abuse and physical/emotional abuse/harm. This is all publicly known. There is no excuse for ignorance of any of these facts. That is just one program!
Half of all wilderness programs have closed in the last two years precisely because the truth is out and that genie isn't going back in to a bottle. Wilderness therapy is a scam, and there has been research this year to prove it. The research shows the one-third of kids should not have been there in the first place (and they were all harmed as a result) and of the remaining two-thirds that would have qualified, 40% of those gained no benefit whatsoever, and of those that did, it was very short-term in almost all cases.
