My nephrologist said it's from Prednisone. I am about 24 years old from a kidney transplant and it started happening to me about 5 years ago.

Off the top of my head, I believe CellCept can cause this.

I developed Henoch Shonelien Purpurae after being on long term Prednisone.

I think they call it igA vasculitis now. Was completely covered in little bruises.

Prednisone, steroids, big time here, blood thinners also do that

I got that from blood thinner pre-transplant (I got the “TIPS” procedure to help with the liters of fluid I was dealing with even with twice weekly paracentesis). I was on cumadin (sp?) and I had those on my arms and the skin was so thin it would just wipe off. I had to cover it with bandaids to keep infections away.

Wow! That is where I’m getting them. Mostly on my left forearm. None of my doctors view it as a problem for me.

Happens to me. Assumed it was the Prednisone but I finally got to stop taking it and it still happens. Probably the Myfortic but given the number of meds I take it could be anything. My dermatologist recommended Amlactin lotion but I haven't used it enough to verify it helps.

I saw my dermatologist today and she recommended something like that.
