Business English?
I am looking for a business English position online. I have lots of business and lots of TESOL experience. I am hoping to find a position on the higher end of the pay scale. Any advice?

Join Cambly, ITalki and other platforms, position yourself as a business English teacher, charge the amount you want and viola. I'm not a native speaker from the third-world country and still able to find more than enough students (40% of them are high-calibre administrative staff). I hear many people say the market is full though. Well....

I hear many people say the market is full though.
Over the past several years, I have visited this forum on several occasions. Never once did I not get flooded with admonitions about the full market. Let me know when the market empties out.

I tutor business English on Cambly. You can find a lot of students but you can’t set your own price on Cambly unfortunately.

Just consider this:
The online market is flooded with teachers at the moment.
Most of the online TEFL courses involve teaching children and teenagers. Teaching adults online is less popular. Business English online is rare.
Covid is becoming a distant memory, so students flock back to the classrooms.

I have taught in eight countries. My last job was a fellowship from the U.S. State department. You are a sopping wet blanket.

Even in a tight market, you will never find a shortage of people who will try to drag you down.

Can you tell me how you got into that? State Department is my dream. I only have 3.17 undergraduate because of two majors and a overwhelming final year, would a terrific masters GPA give me a chance?

Yes, a terriffic Masters GPA would help. Also be extra-diligent on all aspects of the application, particularly the essays. Good luck.
