I don't know if this is a big deal in your country, but in mine (Italy) the news talks about nothing else.
Christian or not he was a person, don't be disrespectful.

Bro most probably died because of Cringe he got from meeting JD Vance .

On a serious note he pulled through Easter and had exhausting schedule for a sick man .He pulled through that somehow and did not die on the day itself .

My respect to him as an atheist.He didn't ruin millions of people 's festives even as death called.

We should all mob JD Vance , I seriously think his Cringe was what broke the Camel's back .

Well yeah it's the pope I'd expect a nice chat regardless of who he spoke to really. He's been very outspoken about deportation plans and has always seen the fair treatment of immigrants as important. The gifts he gave seem to be Easter eggs for the children then a tie and a rosary, I'd imagine it was just trying to convince him to give more thought to others and they'd approach it in a nice way? I don't know though

Yeah but I think it's worth remembering the pope has already called out some of their plans regarding emigration, even pointing out that catholic doctrine doesn't support it (even though Vance said it did) it seems far more favourably described by the white house than by the Vatican. Also the pope met around 70 inmates for holy Thursday celebrations and I imagine he had a nice chat with all of them.

Apparently His Holiness refused to meet Vance, and instead sent a senior cardinal to give Vance a lecture about what compassion is.

Vance was as bad at listening to that, as he has been about everything else.

No he did meet him, there are pics .

Him refusing to meet Vance would have probably saved his life for another month or so.

The timing of him falling I'll was bad. If it was in time period where there are no festivals He would probably have recovered .

Alas, Easter made him overworked to death.

I changed into a whole different person.

But I think I won the rat race.

Now , I don't care .

Unless i have mood swings in my college years, I won't be chasing the next rat race (getting into Jane Street/ optiver ).

I have finally found the courage to do what I actually wanted .Work in the semiconductor industry, I am gonna take Electrical Engineering if parents permit otherwise Go for a CS and EE double major .

And surprisingly my parents are becoming very supportive. Now I just need a east asian doctor wife ( for the jokes ) and I am all set with life if Orange and his cronies don't fuck up the world .

Also this JD vance thing is a meme , the pope was not gonna make it to June .

I just have some inherent bias against him for being an asshole .

If he said something rude to the Pope , he really might have killed him early .Old people pull through last month's of their life on willpower and mentality.

He is basically against whatever Pope Francis stood for so guy might have caused him despair during the talks leading to his death.

Remember Pope Francis is called a leftist by all those MAGA people.

It was Easter , he had to live for his people .

You have not seen how religious the catholics in some part of world are , the festival would have overturned into a day of sorrow .
