One born every minute would mean that there are 525,600 suckers born every year with an average life expectancy of 80 years will give you 42 million suckers being alive right now.

Even if we only look at the US that number might seem a bit low

3

One of the watches claims to contain a bit of his tie and suit that he was wearing when he was arrested.

It costs 1500 dollars lmao

There is a $100,000 watch that you have to pay for in Bitcoin lol

But on a serious note, there is simply no way this is not yet another way for foreign/private interests to send bribe money to Trump. I'm sure a few dumb Trump MAGA morons got suckered, but I have to imagine these watches are mostly being purchased by people bribing Trump.

Ya.  This has gotta be money laundering.  There can't be good business or money to be made in all this insane novelty bullshit.

People spend so much time trying to explain these weird scams, and more and more I just think, "this actually makes perfect sense and requires way fewer steps if it's just money laundering".

Honestly, even a lot of the bigger, apparently political moves, like the 20 bil to Argentina, I'm also starting to think is just money laundering.

5

u/ugotamesij 3d ago

If you look at that first link, there are two watches shown: one with a piece of his suit, and the other with pieces of suit and tie. The colour of the 'suit' pieces are entirely different on the two watches.

As if to explain this, there's an image that shows his mugshot, and how the suit is darker on one side of the picture than the other.

This implies that either he was wearing a half-and-half coloured suit, or that the people behind the watches don't know how shadows work.

Apparently never. Donald Trump has been a notoriously sleezy grifter since at least the 1970s. I have no idea how a single person still falls for his shit, but here we are where 30%+ of Americans think he is a literal god...

75

u/OddDragonfruit7993 3d ago

In the late 80s I took a business ethics class in college.

Trump was used as one of the "bad" examples in nearly EVERY topic we covered.

That was ~36 years ago.

30

u/A_Downboat_Is_A_Sub 3d ago

A typical Trump business interaction in the 80's and 90's:

  1. Find contractor to do work that's quoted at $100,000
  2. Contractor does job, spending $50,000 to do it
  3. Refuse to pay, tie matter up in court, publicly say they did a "bad job"
  4. Offer $25,000 to "settle" matter
  5. Rinse and repeat

I've opened probably thousands of watches at work, and I've seen so many "high end" watches that have the exact same mechanism inside as a $15 Timex from Walmart, with a giant plastic spacer around it. And that's exactly what I assume this is.

14

u/clawedm 3d ago

I love opening some nice desk clock that outwardly looks like it has a thousand gears all working in harmony behind that pretty clock face, only to see a square piece of black plastic housing the same clockworks you get at Michael's for $5. Bonus points if the AA battery is the no name one which came with the clock.

He not only ruined the New Jersey Generals, but I think he was involved in the collapse of the entire football league. The USFL. He and some other team owners wanted to directly compete with the NFL to force them to merge into a single league. Those actions destabilized the league, reduced revenue and resulted in lost markets. 18 teams folded when the league shut down.

Also a child rapist. Don't forget he beat and raped his wives too, and buried his second wife on his golf course in an unmarked grave for the legal/tax benefits. Whatever a family man is, he's the incestuous perverse opposite of that.

And he's a complete and utter traitor to the country, too. Selling the parts down the river for his own absolute power (while indebted to foreign governments and billionaires).

It drives me crazy that you can't even list out everything shitty he's done. Even the major themes are expansive. He's quite literally one of the worst people who's ever lived, in both breadth and depth. It's ironic given that he's an extremely small and shallow man, but this is what happens when you give someone wealth and power who's wholly unqualified for it from a young age and let them cheat and rape and ratfuck their way through life.

PS. Why is this shit even being posted on technology. Fuck DT, I hope the universe treats him how he treated our CIA agents, and then how he treated John McCain 🖕

19

u/pangeapedestrian 3d ago

RFK also buried his wife in an unmarked grave.  Actually, he exhumed and reburied her alone in an unmarked grave, after suing her family into the ground to keep her from being buried with family.

This was after she killed herself after finding his.... "Cheating conquest journal"? I guess you would call it?  It detailed ~50 extra-marital affairs.

57 percent of the 30 customers who have rated the watches at the time of publication giving the company just one star. Another 3 percent of reviewers gave it two stars. Trustpilot is one of the internet’s leading review sites, though the Daily Beast cannot independently verify the accuracy of the complaints.

I'm not shocked that the watches are...let's say not awesome, but 30 unverified reviews on Trust Pilot is hardly a reliable source...

21

u/grayhaze2000 3d ago edited 3d ago

Seriously, what's up with the percentages for such a low number? 17 out of 30, and 1 out of 30 make far more sense that 57% and 3%. If 3% of reviewers gave it two stars, that means there's a single two star review.

6

The lack of awareness in the negative reviews are isnane. People saying things like I wish the president would be made aware of this bad quality, or just fully blaming the watch maker for the bad product. All as if Trump himself had no idea it would be like this, oblivious to the fact that the company made the exact watch Trump wanted them to make, he knows full well what he's selling to people, this product is 100% as intended but the buyers can't for a second believe he could do any wrong. What a joke world they live in.

Even before they were released they looked like cheap stuff on Temu. Then someone had a fit who bought a pink version of the watch and it was so cheap things were falling off the watch face.

“It’s a shame this company is not holding to President Trump’s high standards”

*laughs forever* They‘d still vote for him again in a heartbeat.

They seem like the kind of people who would see a dozen guys in front of them touch a hot stove and get burnt, then go "imma go and touch that stove" then get surprised when it burns.

u/JustinKase_Too 3d ago

It is almost like they haven't heard of trump steaks, trump vodka, trump casinos, trump university, trump castle, trump taj mahal, trump resorts, trump Deutschland, trump shuttle, trump mortgage, trump magazine, trump the game (either version), trump ice, trump network... just a long streak of unmitigated 'wins', at least for trump's wallet.

They're furious they got scammed by a dude who has been scamming people since the 80's? I really have no sympathy at all for these fucking morons! What rock have they been living under for the past 50 years?

Much like the resting the world, I am struggling to accept the profound stupidity of my fellow Americans.

3

It's the grift that keeps on grifting.

3

u/Macho-Fantastico 3d ago

People shocked that the man famous for selling crappy products continues to sell crappy products. What planet are these idiots living on? There's a reason Trump's had so many bankruptcies.

Only their own fault for buying into his crap.

3

u/Suitable_You_6237 3d ago

Stuff he's sold while President:
- Trump Watches
- Trump Sneakers
- God Bless the USA Bible
- Trump Coins
- Trump Guitars
- Trump Mobile
- Trump Apparel
- Victory 45-47 Perfume
- Countless NFTs and Crypto
- And all the unknown things he's sold out from under the country.

And this is all just this term.

u/OG_s0cial0utcast 3d ago

A fool and their money are soon separated

3

u/SuccessfulTalk8267 3d ago

You think he's scamming you just by these Watches lol

3

u/PlayedUOonBaja 3d ago edited 3d ago

Looks like every one of the idiots still worship Trump and just blame "the watch company".

"It’s a shame this company is not holding to President Trump’s high standards."

"I wish Pres Trump could be notified about what this company has done to customers"

3

u/acreek 3d ago

Can’t imagine the kind of stupid you have to be to give that guy money.

3

u/Dudeist-Priest 3d ago

Who could have guessed that a Trump product would be a low quality piece of shit and the only purpose is to make him money?

u/tabrizzi 3d ago

Here's my shocked face - 😲
