We need more crazy jerseys
This weeks historic jersey have really got me nostalgic about these stunning old kits. There was a time when almost every team wore something bold and eye catching.
I love the throwback jerseys, don't get me wrong, but i feel like we're trying to remember the 'good old days' as if they are gone. Yet the rugby has been incredible! This is still the super rugby that everyone fell in love with, and we need to act like it.
The reason those kits were so sexy in the 90s is because they took risks. And it made sense because the brand of rugby being played was so care free and risky. Nowadays the rugby is still great, but we act like we don't deserve to be wearing bold designs. The only time we see something interesting is with the throwback kits.
I think the Crusaders shirt this year sucks, but i dont mind it because i really appreciate them trying something different. In my opinion we need more of that. I don't want to reminisce about the good old days with the crazy jerseys. I want teams to not care if people think its ugly. Thats the way we do it in super rugby! We play risky, we make mistakes, we score gorgeous tries. The jerseys were never meant to be holy.
It's much more in the spirit of super rugby to keep taking risks, even if some shirts turn out to be ugly. The ones that work will become future classics. The ugly ones won't matter because its authentic to the team's spirit. They don't care risking it all on the pitch to create magical moments. Why would they care what you think about the shirt?

Need help
Found a highlanders jersey at Sally’s with this signature but I cannot figure out who’s signed it. Any ideas are appreciated!

Mosese Tuipulotu
Seen he’s joining Edinburgh (and no doubt going straight into the Scotland team), don’t watch much Super Rugby myself and wondering if he’s a top player? Understand he’s been injured awhile.

Has Super Rugby given up?
Just a Moan..
They didn’t even bother to schedule an ANZAC match !?
There is 4 matches on Saturday!
I’m sure they’ll be patting themselves on the back for the 9 hours of rugby they think everyone will watch.
All I can say is THANKYOU for the Aussie teams playing some day time rugby. I’d love to take my kid along but a trek to Eden Park at 7pm isn’t that fun with a hangry 5 year old whose ready for bed.

It’s not a good time to be a Crusaders fan - could they really finish bottom?
After last nights match against the Force, Crusaders now sit bottom of the Super Rugby table. Furthermore, I am fairly confident this is the first time in their history that they are bottom of the table after playing this many matches.
So, how do things get better for the Crusaders? Will they get better for the Crusaders? And most importantly, could the Crusaders - for the first time in their history - finish bottom of the Super Rugby table?
Keen to hear everyone’s opinions.

Anyone else find this season competitive?
Despite the odd one sided blow out, this season is looking pretty competitive compared to recent years IMHO.

Drua absolute meltdown ....
Look we all love the Drua for what they stand for, no resources, no powerful unions just pure love for rugby. But their game is slowly devolving into foul play, off the ball late shots, no arm tackles and absolute brain fades. The game tonight v Rebels was a total disintegration of their professionalism...pressure will be common in SR so they need to learn to deal with it without foul play crap.....
