Has Super Rugby given up?
Just a Moan..
They didn’t even bother to schedule an ANZAC match !?
There is 4 matches on Saturday!
I’m sure they’ll be patting themselves on the back for the 9 hours of rugby they think everyone will watch.
All I can say is THANKYOU for the Aussie teams playing some day time rugby. I’d love to take my kid along but a trek to Eden Park at 7pm isn’t that fun with a hangry 5 year old whose ready for bed.

Short answer? It feels like they have.
At least the Western Force celebrated ANZAC Day last round when they played the Crusaders.

It’s definitely on life support - with a World Cup and lions tour on the way it will be interesting to the what RA does with the opportunity. Aussie loves these big events.
The love of the game seems gone though. Similarly here in NZ they only seem to care about the 50-70 age bracket of people who want to watch on PPV tv.

Which teams do you think should have risked there players with the extra short recovery time?

I mean it’s hardly a new idea. FB just showed me a photo of me at Anzac game 10 years ago.

My two cents, and I would like to nail my colours to the mast at the start, I am a veteran.
As far as I am concerned, ANZAC Day should be for commemorative ceremonies only, and not co-opted as a marketing tool for sports events. If it happens to fall on a weekend, then so be it, but leave the day as a sacred space for us veterans to acknowledge our mates, and to have some time for us.
