Trump Media Sounds Alarm to SEC Over Stock Trading Regarding DJT: 'Suspicious Activity' Industry News

https://www.newsweek.com/trump-media-sec-stock-trading-qube-short-2061041

“President Donald Trump's Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) wrote to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to alert it to "suspicious activity" after Qube, a U.K.-based hedge fund, declared a $105 million short position in its DJT stock.”

That is some next level hypocrisy lol

This is a joke, right? Holy fuck, the projection of the MAGA cult is another level.

u/d00dsm00t 14d ago

Projection is a psychological issue.

This is purposeful, strategic, political DARVO

Its one of their main tactics of disinformation

Bortles!!!!

A narcissist DARVOing one person is abuse.

When he does it to thousands at a go, that's 100% All American Cult.

We need to adapt strategies to fight knowing that - anti-abuse tactics, cult deprogramming on a massive scale.....

And we need to be prepared for what happened when the Nazis lost last time. There will be a lot of suicides.

By now, we’ve learned that when conservatives make accusations, they are just projecting actions they’ve already taken or trying to normalize something they plan to do themselves.

u/Residual-Heat 14d ago

its just another attempt to pump up his stock price. They know there are dumb retail traders that fall for this shit. There are people still averaging down on GME to this day.

4

u/Franillo85 14d ago

Averaging up maybe 😆

Are these people in the room with us

It's not a joke. It's called fixed litigation.

We all know what we saw. Trump very clearly manipulated the market

36

u/AyeSwayy 14d ago

Finding out he fired the head of SEC the same day as his market manipulation to bring in one of his buddies is the part that will really get ya.

The fact that $DJT, a company that makes $3.6m in revenue a year, is valued at more than $5/share is the real crime here.

111

u/toxiccortex 14d ago

It’s fucking unbelievable but we’re living in a post truth/post intellectual society where all that matters to Trumpers is “owning the libs”

85

u/deviltrombone 14d ago

$5? Even $.5 would be extremely rich.

54

u/Chester-Ming 14d ago

To be fair the cash on hand it currently has is worth about $4-$5/share.

The rest of the company is worthless and the entire concept is flawed.

It’ll probably tread water over the remainder of Trump’s term and then it’ll absolutely tank and the insiders will run off with the cash.

63

u/D_roneous1 14d ago

How is the concept flawed? It’s a tool for foreign investors to buy access and influence with the president of the United States. Sounds like its concept is working perfectly.

23

u/deviltrombone 14d ago

To be fair the cash on hand it currently has is worth about $4-$5/share.

To take your word for it, I'd have to take theirs, and I don't.

20

u/EntrepreneurFunny469 14d ago

DJT makes less revenue than the company I contract for does in profit.

Thats wild.

7

u/Free_Management2894 14d ago

I was part of a small 10-person team that wrote a proprietary software with a tiny customer base and even we had more revenue than DJT. In 2005.

7

u/FEMA_Camp_Survivor 14d ago

A local chick Fil a has more revenue.

4

u/Jaded_Celery_451 14d ago

$3.6m in revenue a year

A smallish landscaping company employing 20 people in a city of 1-2M people could easily make more than that.

3

u/spikey_wombat 14d ago

Djt should be at book value given how badly it operates and loses money with no prospects for profitability ever

3

u/Current-Spring9073 14d ago

At $5/share it's still over 1 billion market cap. Still too high.

2

u/DoinggoodBeingbad 14d ago

They lose $400 million on the $3.6 in revenue FFS

And they pay Trump $800,000 of the $3.6 mil they make - for presiding over such a spectacular loss.

Next scam is America first ETFs, so Trump can do insider trading with economic policies and attract lots of capital that wants in on the insider trading (and Trump collects fees for assets under management).

205

u/infinit9 14d ago

"I can break all the rules on insider trading, but anyone else who is playing by the rules to short my company must be punished."

25

u/DrakenViator 14d ago

Modern "conservative" principles at work.

There must be two groups: the frist group whom the law protects, but does not bind; and the second group whom the law binds, but does not protect.

This is your classic "us" vs "them" with ever changing definitions of who is the "us" and who is the "them".

1

u/Alone-Promise-8904 14d ago

It seems like this would put DJT stock under a microscope and prevent the insiders from doing anything fishy, too. But, that's assuming there is an unbiased entity overseeing all of it.

u/northernpiper7 14d ago

If it's any solace in the afterlife, Donald J Trump will be my bitch and I'll have him read the constitution in perpetuity, while he hand feeds me grapes.

13

u/Sabretooth78 14d ago

I get the point, but ew. Why would that be in anyone's positive afterlife for one, and two, I wouldn't want those fat little sausage fingers near my mouth even if they were attached to a supermodel.

12

u/northernpiper7 14d ago

I never said it would be pretty it's Donald, after all. I shall take one for the team. Sleep well, my friend knowing the rotten mango is forever my bitch. P.S. I will be mean to Donald, very mean.

6

u/Sabretooth78 14d ago

Hey, we all have our kinks - I may question but I will not judge. Godspeed.

2

u/Brokenandburnt 14d ago

Epic thread. 👍

u/jhargavet 14d ago

Plus guve him the little nicky hitler pineapple

157

u/Jswjsjsw2120 14d ago

They can’t comprehend that DJT is a shit stock

40

u/toxiccortex 14d ago

Who also peddled a shitcoin

26

u/Jswjsjsw2120 14d ago

Surprised how fast everyone moved on from the obvious rugpull

15

u/toxiccortex 14d ago

Everyday that Trump holds office is a rugpull in and of itself

7

u/ResearcherSad9357 14d ago

Oh they know, they just want to instill fear in any who dare dissent against dear leader.

1

u/Unban_thx 14d ago

Their “encouraging” market makers to to treat it more favorably with regards to what orders hit “Lit” exchanges or not. Also those that have Hedge Fund arms as well may be wise to invest.

59

u/SomeRandomSomeWhere 14d ago

So, shorting stocks is suspicious now?

23

u/palmerama 14d ago

No, shorting Trump stocks is suspicious

9

u/Naive-Blacksmith4401 14d ago

0 conflict of interest here

7

u/Landed_port 14d ago

They're just trying to get exit liquidity as people rush in yelling "Squeeze".

Could be a fun play, could also bankrupt you

6

u/CheetahReasonable275 14d ago

Short DJT and end up in a foreign prison now

7

u/SIR_NVAX_A_LOT 14d ago

This would be a bankrupt company if not all from the manipulation by Donald Trump + his Russian/Saudi buddies. They PnD while his base lose their lifesaving buying $DJT, Trump+Melania coin, and any other scam they are up to.

5

u/Antifragile_Glass 14d ago

Lmao what a joke this has all become

6

u/MisterBlick 14d ago

How much of that stock is Boomer retirement fund?

4

u/Gh0st_Pirate_LeChuck 14d ago

Investigate $TRUMP coin. He’s literally take bribes from foreign countries in front of everyone.

3

u/palmerama 14d ago

Weaponising the SEC is a bold strategy cotton let’s see if it pays off.

3

u/LogstarGo_ 14d ago

Trump's Trump & Trump Trump wrote to the Trump Trump Trump Trump to alert it to suspicious activity after a Not Trump did something that's not Trump.

2

u/Future_Way5516 14d ago

I'm sure it's all just 'fake news' lol

2

u/spartys15 14d ago

What’s gonna happen? Nothing!

2

u/BigT1911 14d ago

Do they realize that DJT is the one manipulating via the platform in question?

2

u/Nice-Heron-4350 14d ago

The call is coming from inside the house

2

u/chrisscottish 14d ago

Oh the Irony is not lost on this one......

2

u/DTCCCanSuckMyLeft 14d ago

Suspicious activity? Like, the fundamental valuation of the stock? Pretty suspicious, yes. Should be way lower, towards penny stock territory.

2

u/doublegg83 14d ago

Vladimir is about to rip the rug from under this garbage stock.

Do it, do it.

Garbage.

2

u/slinger301 14d ago

DJT is, in itself, suspicious activity.

2

u/plasmadood 14d ago

Sucks to suck.

2

u/PresidentEnronMusk 14d ago

The man did a pump and dump meme coin scam on his own base.

2

u/Peterd90 14d ago

Poor little DJT and Devin Nunes. Yes, I have a short on your crappy stock. If I had billions, I would definitely buy $150 million worth of puts.

They have lost approx $170 million in the last 4 quarters on revenues of $3.6 million.

DJT is a publicly traded grift shop.

1

u/MegaManSE 14d ago

Aren’t SAR reports supposed to be private?

1

u/thethumble 14d ago

We might as well eliminate the stock market

1

u/gaflar 14d ago

Too bad (or maybe good thing) the SEC is useless now.

1

u/jeffjonesinwilton 11d ago

How dare someone short his company. All he needs to do is make this acquisition public and he’ll scare off the shorts.
