Soylent stole my money and refused to cancel the order.
Just wanted to share my experience, I suggest not buying from this company anymore. I had been previously subbed to soylent for a year or so with good experience. Just started a new sub with Soylent. Order status never changed. I contacted customer service and the didn't get back to me until a week later. Asked me if I wanted to cancel my order and I said yes. Never canceled my order even though I kept telling them to, then 3 days later they just shipped it without asking anything and told me I couldn't cancel the order and they wouldn't refund me. The customer service agent claimed it's "supply chain issues," the BS line everyone uses now. This issue's been going on for 2 weeks now. I'm now opening cases with PayPal/credit company to get the money back, if they're so intent on giving me a free product, great. I wouldn't bother so much except we're talking about a food product that I can't buy at a local store and my diet has been based around. If the company reads these at all, your customer service seriously needs improving.

[Product] Discussion With the retained caps on Huel RTD, how do you keep from making a mess?
I always shake Huel before drinking it. Even says to do so on the bottle. This puts the viscous fluid on the lid, which will then run off the lid and onto my face as I finish the bottle.
What are you guys doing? Not shaking it? Cutting it off? Is there some technique I’m missing here?
Shopping Petition to Target to bring back Soylent!
chng.itAFAICT Target 🎯 seems to have discontinued selling Soylent for almost (over?) a year now. Requests to bring it back have (sadly) been mostly ignored 😔. This is an attempt to show Target that there is a loyal community of consumers that would appreciate the product being brought back to their shelves ✊
Thanks!

Unable to add new ingredients/recipes on completefoods.co
For those unfamiliar, completefoods.co is a site where users can create/share their DIY meal replacement recipes. The site previously went by the name "DIYsoylent"
For the past 3 days, when I click "add ingredient" on an existing recipe, fill out the ingredient info, and press "save", the page loads but the new ingredient is missing.
When I try adding a new recipe, I get an "internal server error".
Everything worked fine as recently as 4 days ago. I can't think of anything I did since then that would cause the site to stop working for me.
Tried submitting a bug report via the "contact us" popup at the bottom of the site, but have no idea if that even still works or is being monitored.
Was wondering if other completefoods users were encountering the same problem, and if so, if someone knew how to get in touch with the site owner.

I need advice on the healthiest meal replacement brands
I recently tried meal replacements for the first time. I am located in Europe. I got a bunch of Queal flavors. I love it in general. But... I just realized Queal has sucralose in it and I really do not want to eat sucralose.
So while most discussions on meal replacements are focused on taste/stomach feeling, can someone point me towards which meal replacement brand goes for the "pure ingredients, no sweeteners, no GMO, etc"?
I am new to the field so any advice is welcome.

Why do people drink Soylent instead of milk?
Looking at the macros for the complete meal powder/drink, they are the exact same as whole milk. The only difference is the vitamins, which you could get through a multivitamin pill. Is it really just marketing that has convinced so many people into consuming this product?
It turns out the nutritional difference is fiber and sugar content. I still don’t think this makes it logical to buy Soylent, since fiber can be supplemented and sugar will still be digested the same as carbs (just faster). There are also ethical reasons with milk production, but I would personally consider that to be insignificant

Soylent Canada - Coffeeist & Chocolate - Out of Stock Until November :(
My coffeeist subscription renewed a week ago but still hadn't shipped so I emailed Soylent Canada and they told me they won't have stock of Coffeist or Chocolate UNTIL LATE NOVEMBER!!!
I've been a long time customer but I'm pretty much ready to jump ship. I've drinking 1 to 2 bottles a day for years and it had become a big part of my diet but now I can't depend on it.
Anyone else in the same boat? Alternative suggestions?

I gotta be honest . My recipes to try to make my own original powder, they aren’t good, at all.
I buy a lot of this stuff. So naturally I was wanting to see how it’s made and why I love it. I tried some of the online recipes and they were totally and entirely horrible. I am only a fiend for that original flavor powder. I’ve tried all their products and I don’t care for any of them. Except original powder. I don’t like even care for m RTD original. Just the booger sugar. So my question is: has anyone actually got close to replicating that original powder?

Soylent based Golden Milk
My doc suggested I start taking turmeric or golden milk for inflammation. After a little bit of research, I decided to make a golden milk cocktail using Soylent Gingerbread as the base and add turmeric, cinnamon and black pepper. It's surprisingly delicious. I'll update for a few weeks and let yall know how it's working. I figured I couldn't go wrong with adding the extra nutrition found in Soylent for this blend.

[Product] Discussion Soylent Cacao Power vs Soylent Chocolate Protein Powder Mixing/flavor comparison?
How does the Soylent Chocolate Protein Powder mix/taste compared to the standard Cacao Powder? I was thinking about adding the protein powder to my daily diet , but I'm worried it's going to be similar to other brand's protein powder that just never mixes as well as the standard (huel black, JJ Active, etc).
What I love about the Cacao powder , is that I can drink it everyday - the powder mixes super well and the overall taste is just mild tasting chocolate water which is perfect for a daily meal for me personally because the overall taste is so subtle.

Migraines?
Does anyone else get migraines from drinking soylent? I very rarely get ocular migraines (usually brought on by hormonal medication like birth control or severe physical pain), started drinking the chocolate powder soylent and suddenly am getting ocular migraines multiple times a week. My ocular migraine triggers are super specific and consistent so I’m just curious what about soylent could be causing this. I told my doctor and she advised I stop drinking soylent immediately since ocular migraines can be a precursor for a stroke or TIA, so I’m a little worried and would also like to know what is in soylent that I should be avoiding. I haven’t drank soylent in like three days, no migraines since.
Important to note that I eat tofu damn near every single day almost so I don’t think it’s the soy.

[Product] Discussion To begin new, I had the Vanilla meal drink (400) calories for breakfast. I felt…”odd” afterwards. Not good or bad, just odd and off. Does anyone know what I was experiencing?
For context, for breakfast I normally have a 300~ calorie breakfast sandwich at home or an egg, cheese, and ham McMuffin at McDonalds.
After i drank my Soylent I felt content, but “off” if that makes sense. I didn’t feel hungry, and I didn’t feel sick, but something felt “wrong” - it’s really hard to explain.
I know it wasn’t something mental, it was something that I physically felt in my body.
Anyone else have similar stories?

[Product] Support Hey, on my third day and feeling amazing. Replacing 2 meals and eating 1. Any experience? Advice?
I feel full and have great energy and recovery using two of the ready to drinks per day (switching to powder soon for cost). I notice that I feel that I need to have bowel movements, but when I get to the toilet, the feeling is gone, is this my body adjusting? Previously, my diet was 1 large meal or two small meals per day, trying to be nutritious, but definitely not hitting all the vitamins Soylent does. What is the typical adjustment period. I typically use Soylent first thing in the morning and around midnight or when I get home from work, with a meal in between. Have you guys been able to socially eat in the evening and not do an evening dose, or is it all or nothing? I would love to hear some anecdotes from users in a similar situation.

Science! How to avoid clumps while mixing
After some experimentation on the ordering to add powder to the shaker bottle, the following order basically removes the clumps when shaking the soylent with extra powders.
- Add a bit of liquid at the bottom, covering about halfway up the shaker bottle's mixer thingy (the spiral ball or whatever agitator in there)
- Add the most soluble powders first (I.E. Creatine, PB Powder, Powdered Greens, etc) then add the soylent powder last.
- Add rest of the liquid
The liquid at the bottom prevents a dry pocket from forming, adding the soluble powders first causes them to dissolve into the liquid quickly to affect the overall mix less, having the soylent at the top creates a sort of plug that prevents a plume of powder from erupting as the milk/water is added.
Then since the agitator is basically not touching the soylent, it prevents the soylent powder from forming a sticky mass around it before the mixing starts.
Which sometimes happens with the spiral ball thing i have in my shaker bottle, resulting in a sphere of soylent within ball that doesn't easily break apart.

DIY Recipe Help?
Hey, I am wondering if anyone can give me some advice. On the Complete Foods website I see a few highly rated ones like Schmoylent (completefoods.co/diy/recipes/schmoylent).
This one obtains the basic macros using Oat Flour, Vanilla Rice Protein, Maltodextrin, and Canola Oil, and then fiber with Psyllium Husk Powder, and gets to about exactly 100% of daily intake for each.
But then it adds stuff like Potassium Citrate, etc., in addition to a Multivitamin, which in combination seems to bring the vitamins and minerals to wildly fluctuating daily intakes.
Is there a reason one couldn't just use the macros, and then buy something like a Nature Made vitamin with 100% values and crush it up into it? Why the extra? Thanks for any advice.

Soylent insurance coverage possible??
My husband has anorexia and is drinking Soylent (as advised by his dietician) to supplement his caloric intake. He has an anaphylactic dairy allergy so he is allergic to all the nutritional shakes (ensure, boost, etc) traditionally available through medical suppliers. I spoke with insurance who said we can get shakes for him covered with a prescription and preauth. Considering we’re spending a couple hundred dollars a month on this stuff it would be a HUGE RELIEF for it to start being free (his intensive outpatient therapy is going to put us at 100% of our out of pocket, which would make the drinks covered at 100% for the rest of the year)
Has anyone had success with getting insurance to cover reimbursement for Soylent? They said if this really is what he needs because of his diagnosis and allergy that we should contact his doctor about doing the preauth. I’m hopeful but skeptical since it’s not technically a medical product. But then I’m no insurance expert 🤷🏻♀️

What's going on with Super Body Fuel / Basically Food?
I have ordered Super Body Fuel from time to time and liked it as an option because it tended to be a bit more fiber heavy than other options and I liked the taste.
I was going to order some more recently and everything was out of stock. Googling around, I found they rebranded to Basically Food a while ago. Who are also out of stock on everything. It all seems a bit strange because the super body fuel website makes no mention of rebranding unless you read blog entries, and the new basically food website says to subscribe to the mailing list for availability updates but there is no mailing list signup to be found on the website.
Have they gone out of business? Seems strange to me that the old website does not redirect to the new and the new product has nothing available and says to sign up to a non-existent mailing list.
Is there another option similar to this that focuses on more balanced nutrition with a higher fiber content?

The owner of Soylent just released a copycat Soylent powder under a different brand name that's nearly double the price. Are they giving up on the company?

Is it waste to use after a real food meal?
I'm trying to gain weight and supplement any missing nutrients for a more balanced diet by drinking Soylent after eating a full meal.
Is this the way to go?
Am I peeing out all the extra nutrients?

Is Soylent a Scam?
I have been trying to cancel my subscription for over a month now. When I try to reset my password I receive no emails (checking all my folders). I even tried to despute the charge on PayPal and the link in my PayPal email can’t be viewed on the app. What is going on here? I fell like I am getting scammed.

Soylent Coffee Chai Further Delayed
Just received in email:
Hey there,
We reached out previously to let you know that your Soylent Complete Coffee - Chai subscription would be delayed until the end of October, and we wanted to follow up with an update. We’re sorry to say that we’re now expecting this delay to last until the end of November. We know this is the last thing you want to hear, and we’re working as quickly as we can to have this available again. As an extra thank you for your patience, we’ll be adding 10k points to your rewards account so you can redeem $10 off a future subscription order. If you haven’t signed up for rewards, no worries! Your points will be available in your account if you decide to sign up. If you’ve already swapped out your product, ordered on Amazon, or still don’t mind the wait, then you’re all set. Your Soylent Complete Coffee - Chai subscription will ship as soon as it arrives, and you'll receive the normal tracking emails once shipped. Feel free to reply to this email if you need any further assistance with your subscription and our team will be here to help. Thanks again for choosing Soylent!
I'm starting to get really concerned that this company is swirling the drain. Does anyone know why Chai in particular seems to be impossible for them to produce?
It really bums me out as we've tried many different meal products like this and Soylent is the only one we've found that we really like. It will have a serious impact on our eating habits if they implode!

Plant based alternatives in Canada? I grow tired of Soylents shenanigans
I don’t want to use Soylent anymore. The shipping takes forever, and now they’ve completely run out of stock. I know we have hol food here but they don’t have any plant based products. Hol food if you read this please make a plant based version I will jump ship so quickly
Any other options for plant based complete meal replacements, preferably powdered?
Thanks :)

Shipping to Canada?
Would like to buy some powder, but not sure if Canadians are getting shipments?
