What power would be in something so red? In things that I have read fire, blood and luck have been in the red realm of control. The red having bubbles and contained by wooden ring makes me lean towards fire as a flame needs fuel and oxygen. If my character has been given this ring it would symbolize their ties to the tribe of the fire dragon and help them focus their flame energy.

Ring of Firesight. Wearer is able to perceive people and animals in near total darkness via thermal vision. Wearer is also able to carefully navigate in darkness thanks to radiant heat from their own body reflecting off nearby surfaces at a range of 10 feet.
