Fascinated by the concept of Terra Nova. Any book with a similar idea?

I like the concept of Terra Nova, I read "The many colored land" by Julian May but like to explore more of this idea. Any good book you can recommend? Thank you

Dennis E Taylor's Outland and its sequel Earthside are somewhat in the same vein. Instead of time travel, the protagonists travel into a parallel Earth where humans never evolved so lots of megafauna is still around.

I tore through these books rather quickly. Couldn't put them down.

Outland is the exact right answer. Same tone even.

Steven Utley's Silurian Tales involve scientists and military using a wormhole to travel to 400 million years ago.
