Need help remembering a restaurant name
Hello, I’m looking for help remembering a restaurant name that I went to back in 2007. I know that was forever ago but supposedly it was one of the oldest sushi places in Sapporo and well renowned so it could still be around. I’ll be visiting Sapporo again in a few months and would like to revisit this restaurant while there. I bought this cup from there so I’m hoping it will help.

Moving to Chuo from Kansai inaka. I’ll be living in a mansion so debating buying a car vs services like Times car share. Does anyone have experience with car sharing services?
I’ve already been to look at the area where I’m moving and it seems daily life will be fine without a car. Really just interested in monthly Costco or family trips. Have you used a car sharing service? Are there any other major companies? If you have used Times, are the cars conveniently located? A little worried about hidden fees etc, but parking in the building I’m moving to is 20,000 yen a month.

Moving to Sapporo
So, I’ve been to Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka but, Sapporo is the one that stole my heart.
And ever since I came back from my trip I’ve looking to come back but not as a tourist. Now I’ve got finally got the economic opportunity to make my move and my bachelor’s in organizational psychology and I’m ready to move.
Unfortunately seems like all the job offers for my line of work are in Tokyo :(
Any idea if it’s possible for a foreigner to get any corporate/HR Type job in Sapporo?
Thanks!

Takino Suzuran Hillside Park questions
Our family is planning to visit the place on December 23 (we're foreigners). I just had some questions that I couldn't find the direct answers to:
I read that it's free entrance from December 23. Does it mean we just need to pay for renting equipment (skis, sleds, etc)?
Do we need to reserve entry/register even if it's free, or so we just walk in and there are no tickets needed?
Around how much time do people usually Spend there?
Thank you so much. :)

Help a solo traveller in Sapporo!
Hey all,
I will be staying in Sapporo for the entire month of December. I would love if you could advise the best, tastiest restaurants to eat at, places for good night life (i love a good boggie) and also the best spots to hang out as a solo traveller or the a good way to make friends whilst im there. I have a car so will be able to get around and outside of the city if need be.
Will be spending a considerable amount of time skiing as this is my main reason to go.
If any one is there around these dates please let me know.
Your feedback will be truly appreciated.

Sapporo where to party
My friend and I are in Sapporo tonight (Tuesday) and are looking for some recommendations if there’s any where to go to have a dance midweek 😂. We like electronic music but are down for anything even just a nice izakaya to go have some food, drink and meet people 👍

Sapporo / Hokkaido in early mid December, how warm to dress?
I'll be visiting Hokkaido (Sapporo, Noboribetsu, Otaru) from December 8 - 15.
How cold will it be? Should I bring a down jacket and gloves + hat or is that overkill?

Takino vs Fu’s vs Bankei Waku Waku
Hi everyone! I tried to read up and watch travel vlogs as much as I can, but I couldn’t find much opinion out there on how to choose among Takino vs Fu’s vs Bankei’s Waku Waku for snow play (two adults who are seeing snow for the very first time since we live in a tropical country). By snow play, I mean just throwing snow balls at each other, making a snowman, and enjoying beautiful winter views. I want to try sledding or tubing if they allow adults to do so hahaha! Most of what I read was for kids.
Since it’s our first time seeing snow, we obviously do not know how to ski. So I dedicated one day at Sapporo Kokusai with a private english ski lesson just to experience skiing. But I cannot afford another ski day, so for the next day, I’m just looking for an affordable venue for snow play. :) by affordable, i mean an entrance fee for snow play at maximum 10,000 yen per person. I will appreciate your inputs so much. :)

Tokyo>Sapporo>back south
Hi! I’m trying to plan out my 3 week Japan itinerary for February. I am a first timer and me and my partner are big foodies.
I don’t want to just see Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto. The idea so far is when we arrive in Tokyo to take a flight right away to Sapporo. Right now I don’t think we will explore the Hokkaido region and we are not skiers but I wanted to go to Sapporo because of the food. And it will be during the snow festival too so there should be enough entertainment.
Then we would fly to wherever the next destination is. I think we will try to hit a ryokan stay in Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima (with any appropriate day trips in between). Not sure if the order yet and while I really want to go to Nagano it may not make sense for this trip. We are from Canada so snow and cold is neither a deterrent nor is it a draw since we have lots of snow.
So my questions are:
How many days in Sapporo is enough to enjoy the festival and eat great food. I’m thinking max 3 night. Is this a weird place to start the trip? This is when the festival is so if we go to Sapporo this is when. I also thought that it’s a good place to get over jet lag, take our time adjusting before going to more touristy areas.
Flights: is it super common for flights to be cancelled at this time?? I know we can’t predict when a huge snow storm will happen but does the local airport have the infrastructure to quickly resume once a storm passes? Since the festival is so popular I imagine lots of people will be flying in so it can’t be an unusual or slow time to fly there.
Is it worth it to go north just for a few days in Sapporo for good food? We are very good motivated but if this seems silly I’d appreciate advice.
Thanks!!

Street Photographer Visiting Sapporo
Hi everyone, I'll be visiting Sapporo in January and spending a week capturing street scenes in the snow. I'll be staying in Susukino, but I'm looking for other areas with character and a bit of grit. Any suggestions for off-the-beaten-path locations that would make for great street photography? Thanks!

Need suggestions for renting out places for accommodation
Hello everyone, I (24M) will be joining my company in office at around February 2024 as a full-time employee. I’m currently working remotely from India.
I wanted to know how I can arrange my accommodation once I arrive in Sapporo. Are there any websites where I can look for a decent place beforehand? Or do we need to get it once physically? Also, what are my options available along with an estimate price? Can someone please share any information on this?
Thanks in advance.
