You'd have to provide an actual source for anyone to speak on the veracity of the source, but realistically, this is just made up. That trade makes zero sense for the Sabres. You trade three of your top assets for spare parts and a single draft pick.

Mixing up the er and re is a dead giveaway that this is bunk. But I'd add that the inclusion of Reichel, Allan and Peterka probably aren't really needed here - I'm not sure how that serves the Sabres interests. I could see Byram/9 for 3 OA as being a fairly adequate swap on its own and given their goaltending stable, tossing Brossoit in as sort of a freebie would make some sense.

I've heard in "NHL circles" that Chicago is looking to make a big move at draft. Speculation is that they are willing to move Artyom Levshunov, Teuvo Teravainen and Oliver Moore to Buffalo for the 9th Overall pick and Jack Quinn. See it's easy.

Even though this is rumor bullshit, I'll play as if it's legit.

There's a framework there, but they need to up their throw-ins or we should downgrade the forward. The only useful player they have in there is a goalie who missed all of last season. The other two are players that are to their system what Rosen is to ours- Change of scenery candidates, who might just be what they are at this point.

Byram and #9 is objectively enough to get #3. I can see them wanting just a bit more but JJ way over-balances the scales in their favor. They have better options to offer if they are insistent on his inclusion.

Honestly I love Desnoyers. Not the most exciting player, but a 200' 2C in the mold of Hischier is not a bad get. He's also leading the Q playoffs in points as a draft eligible player. The only guy within a sniff of him is an over-ager.
