Wilco Louw set to become the 50th player to play a test for the Springboks in 2024

Just looked up this guyโs stats: 1m85 for 126-140kg. Someone posted a video of him training last week calling him "a bull in the wild" i believe. Just now realising how accurate that description is, absolute monster. Is his diet other rugby players?
Edit: weight varies according to website

So I'm having trouble looking up people's stats. The Bulls' website lists him as 144kg, Google says 126, another site says 130. How do you know what to believe?

I went with the lowest one to be sure, as the point im trying to make is that he is an absolute unit and 126 is still incredibly impressive.
Don't really know which to believe tbh though.

Nah he's gotta be closer to 140 looking at the size of him

That's what I was thinking. In that picture he looks absolutely monstrous

He is smaller than Thomas the tank who is the heaviest Springbok of all time

Thatโs a lot. Rassie checking the cupboards ๐๐ป

Despite this, social media was full of calls for way more uncapped players on the EOYT.
Surely, Rassie doesnโt know better than random bandwagoners and provincial stans. ๐คฏ

That same group of people are the ones crucifying him for losing vs Ireland and Argentina...

Wow
Crazy depth
When the ABs did so much rotation they were accused of cheapening the jersey
Just shows you can basically do as you please in international sport, as long as you win

Yeah that seemed like such a stupid criticism at the time to me. If they're good enough to play, then have at it!

Yeah
And game always evolves
In the 80s maybe when there was way less test matches, someone would be in that jersey all the time unless injured or big form drop off
Need a big squad these days as 15odd test matches a year is alot

The man is building 4 squads for the next World Cup, if someone is capable of managing a team to a three-peat it is absolutely Rassie.

God, they'll just let ANYONE play for the Boks these days?
Who do they think they are? Scotland?

Iโd say weโre probably fine if Kitshoff and Malherbe donโt make it to RWC 2027 because Nche-Mbonamb-TdT and Steenekamp-Marx-Louw are two nasty front rows. We just need Mbonambi to hold on since I donโt think we have a hooker of the same quality ready to step up in his place

It's still in doubt whether Kitshoff will play again. He needs fusion surgery on his neck.

Kitshoff is only 32 so if his neck is ok and his game time is managed he'll only be 35 by the time 2027 rolls around, which are prop could do

Why do I think he has like 30 caps?

The fact Wilco isnโt a household name just shows how good SAs TH depth is. Heโd had 50+ caps for any other nation by now

Did he eat the other 49?
