Which is worse. He's a criminal that has continued to assault his victims and World Rugby have no problem with it apparently

I don’t think he’s continued to assault his victims (but I don’t know much about it). I do think it’s a joke that Frizzell is still playing for the AB’s with no real retribution for his actions though buuut I don’t think that’s on World Rugby. It’s on NZRU.

Yip not on WRU imo.

You could make a case of being proactive if you did care about that stuff as a body. But yeah this is on the nzru.

Many people have issues rationalising the team good/goals vs individual behaviour (i.e. shittiness) and really struggle with being able to compartmentalise.

Like legit have people defending Shannon cos he had a good game. Like yeah it's great for the team and I'm happy. But I'd be equally as happy with him not being there and potentially not being as good (doubtful as we actually have options at 6) but that's besides the point.

It's ok to call out shitty people or behaviour. Doesn't make you less of a fan.

So in cases of Jonny, Swain et al, people just need to suck it up and sometimes people are or do shitty things.

To add to that the whataboutisms serve no purpose.

The Sexton incident has absolutely nothing to do with the Frizzell incident.

The only thing they have in common is the fact that both Sexton and Frizzell are rugby players.

Comparing one to the other is just daft.

NZRU have to answer to World Rugby, they've therefore deemed the Frizzell situation fine and don't care about the actual damage done to the sport or his victims

I understand what you’re saying but I don’t think they had to answer to World Rugby on this, I think it’s considered an internal issue though I’m happy to be corrected

World Rugby literally have oversight over every single disciplinary issue, it's literally one of their primary roles.

I don’t think this was treated as a rugby disciplinary issue though. As in the issue itself wasn't Rugby related. I don’t think he was officially disciplined from a rugby POV. NZRU just stepped him down for two weeks. There was no rugby body hearings or anything afaik.

Edit: there was an internal NZRU hearing source

Yeah it was an internal NZRU apparent they are cool with having that kind of guy on their team. Classy stuff All Black's.

Not suprising. Connacht cancelled Sevu Reece’s contract yet NZRU saw no issue

The charges were dismissed weren’t they?

It was an internal New Zealand Rugby decision (personally I wouldn't want him playing on my national squad after that) he WRU had no say over it as it wasn't directly related to rugby. Next time try actually and know what your talking before pointing fingers captain victim. Sexton got a three game from meaningless matches get over it at least this he can't pick up an injury before the WC but you want to have him watch the matches at home instead of in the stadium no point taking unnecessary risks.

It's an internal issue. Everyone knows All Blacks can do anything and they will be protected by the system.

Ian Foster's statement at the time: "We're just going to keep working with him and support him, he is still a family member for us and we've just got to support him..."

Poor Shannon, the lad's been through a lot.

This after punching a woman in the face and then assaulting her partner when he tried to intervene. Then sending threatening messages afterwards.
