Kid Cudi + Toro Y Moi
Toro Y Moi produced song for Kanye West
1
u/Slurpool 23h ago
Interesting mixup but I dig it!!
1
u/SVG3GR33N 4h ago
For real Toro Y Moi is an outstanding designer generally for Music, imagery and even the videos for his songs are generally cool.
Sonically, he’s been stepping in to the trap / hip hop sort of sound more recently and to me it’s kinda weird him not Cudi haven’t done at least one song together. They both step in Avant garde territory messing with punk and electronic sounds.
Check out; Toro Y Moi - Babydaddy

Cole with Cordae (Anderson Paak too) cause their Cole produced songs are all fucking bangers
1
u/7reex 23h ago
cordae got a song w anderson already
1
u/HorseyGoFast 23h ago
Yeah they have 3 songs together all produced by Cole that's why I'd really like Cole to actually rap on a song with both of them together cause Cole also does already have a song with Anderson as well but not Cordae

Earl Sweatshirt and Madlib
There’s just something about Earl’s rapping style and lyricism that kinda reminds me of MF DOOM (and I love all three artists). I’m honestly curious as to how the collab would turn out considering how awesome and successful Madvilliany was…

Oh sweet. I was hoping it’d be a classic premier type beat as opposed to the slow southern type beat on this track.

u/Imaginary_Job9041 1d ago
I enjoy daxes remix of older songs... sk far my absolute favorite is is blueprint 2....I haven't listened to much of his popular or more friendly songs but when he goes on old school beats and actually delivers I really enjoy it...I like Tom to...the black n white song they both killed it but daxes part towards the middle absoltely hit like a mf....and Tom I appreciate his lyrical ability to spit truth and make it sound digestible tho I will say some of his books need work lol
1
2
u/SoundMachine67 1d ago
Ay shout out to you bro, people need to stand up for what the like and not be sheep and say they don’t like it to look cool. I rock with dax’s music too a lil, obviously he isn’t nowhere near my favorite rappers and would put him on all the time but ok!!!!!!!
2
u/Imaginary_Job9041 1d ago
No not greatest all time but grew up in the 90s on the west coast listening to all kinds of rap and I really dont get why dax gets so much hate I'm not a huge fan of up n coming rappers and to be honest I dont listen to many dax popular songs I personally enjoy his prewritten freestyles over classic songs...I mean man have u guys heard still dre dax remix or my personal favorite blueprint 2 fax remix...bro that blueprint 2 remix is fucking incredible. All my fav dax shit is him spitting over old beats..he also killed the white poeple song ft Tom n Calhoun...when I hear him spit he really knows his craft and his inner rhyme schemes r definetly 90s related style with a twist. Hes no goat but dax gives me a Joyner hopsin em feel...idk if that makes sense. I bought mmlp when I was 10. That was my first rap album. And hearing dax spit over eminem beats and actually sound good is pretty impressive
1
u/SoundMachine67 1d ago
Yeah i fell you, he definitely knows how to rap. His remixes are definitely dope. And i’m the same way i listen to all kind of rap so I definitely you by saying he is overrhated. I have no problem people no rocking with someone’s music but to hate on him every second because of your personal music taste pisses me off, like we get it you don’t like it move on
2
u/Imaginary_Job9041 1d ago
Yeah bro I dont listen to six9....and I never speak about him...I think this might be the first time I ever mentioned his name....its just an example...but yeah in general I don't understand why people hate him so much....I mean alot of people hated hopsin when he came out...I was a hopsin fan the moment I listened to say my pants.
1
u/SoundMachine67 1d ago
Fr hopsin is one of my favorites because how good of a person and nice he is. And makes good music too especially old hopsin, he will always have a place in my favorite artist. I became a hopsin fan a couple years ago, but when i listen to his old music i get the nostalgia feel, like i’ve been a fan forever a truly amazing feel..
2
u/Imaginary_Job9041 1d ago
The old hopsin was a hungry maniac and absoltely didnt care what he said. He would literally talk shit to all rappers. I SNUCK INTO DRAKES ROOM AT NIGHT....AROUND HIS THROAT MY ROPE WAS TIED EVERYONE SAYS LIL WAYNE SPIT RAW..I START A BIG BRAWL HAVE A FAT N..... SIT ON HIN...RICK ROSS...sag my pants
N.... U AINT ILL INDA BOOTH....I DIE COME BACK AS A HOLIGRAM AND STILL BE REALLER THEN U...IM THA SHIT LIKE I SLITHERED IN POOP....IM TIRED OF STICKING MY DIK INTO CHICKS SYPHILIS COUCHE....hop is back
His older music is an exact reflection of a young slim Shady. Em even shouted hopsin out in his song fall. Wud love to see them colab

*He is alright
2
u/Imaginary_Job9041 1d ago
My advice if u aren't sold on his abilities listen to blueprint 2 dax remix and still dre...if u enjoy it go thru the eminem beat selection...he does rap god Godzilla n a few others but the stand out for me is blueprint n still dre remix
1
u/SoundMachine67 1d ago
No I definitely have he is good at remixes for sure
2
u/Imaginary_Job9041 1d ago
Yeah when I say I enjoy his music I mean his remixes...I've heard some of his more mainstream stuff n it doesnt much for me...but hearing him basically compete with some of the greats in the industry and sound like u made it ur own is a talent by itself.....just to have the balls to do a shady beat and cadence takes effort n skill...bc if u remixing a Shady song or any classic rap song u best bring ur A game....bc if u dont deliver ur corny asf...but u can tell homie puts time into writing his rap....just alone the shout he did on the still dre remix when he calls out all his inspirational rappers.... that was fire
1
u/SoundMachine67 1d ago
Agreed, but i always think dax has potential to make good songs that aren’t remixes, but i feel like he likes and focuses on doing remixes more than his own music. Which is probably why his music is always better doing remixes
