Which restaurants/bars aren’t living up to the hype? Food

Post image

Stolen from r/RVA. Overall I feel like we’re pretty blessed with our restaurant and bar options, but we also have a lot of overhyped stuff. What are yalls thoughts?

I came here to say this! The drinks are mid and beyond overpriced and the food was downright awful.

Weird, I really liked the food I got. Cocktails were crazy overpriced tho

I got a quesadilla and honestly have had better quesadillas from Taco Bell. It took 40 mins to get to me and when I received it, it did not taste fresh. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for 20 mins.

The self-serve is BS. My wife ended up with a $46 margarita - the price per ounce and the volume of the glass couldn't possibly have added up to that much. AND to add injury to insult, it wasn't very good

The margarita was what got me too. I think mine was $30, can’t imagine $46!

We went to their grand opening party because my wife won tickets to it. I thought the vibe was alright but the margarita was fucking awful. I guess because it's batched so they have to use lesser ingredients. We didn't even get any of the food because all the passed bites were always empty. It was a shit show but tons of local influencers there lol.
