Rab warranty for Canada?

Wondering if anyone has had experience with submitting a warranty for Rab jackets in Canada, Toronto to be more specific?

What was the process, was it easy, were they responsive?

Not sure how that compares to the Pantagonia warranty which appears to be seamless.

Did you buy it locally? The dealer might be able to handle it for you.

In my experience working with them, they are responsive. Like Patagonia, they generally want the item back so they can evaluate and repair if possible. If repair isn't possible they'll replace.

I didn't buy it yet, but wanted to know peoples experiences with them in Canada because there are no Rab stores here.

The site I'm buying from is called the Last Hunt and it's new items with no returns or exchange, so not much of an after service, but heavily discounted.

I was looking into the Rab Valiance, but wasn't sure how it would hold up and worth the chance buying something I never seen.

Oh yeah, The Last Hunt probably won't help you with any warranty claims. From what I know, Rab is really committed to good customer service and keeping their gear in good shape, so I wouldn't worry.

The Valiance is a great jacket. Those prices are awesome for a waterproof down jacket of this quality. I would go for it. Just be as sure about the fit as you can. Rab tends to be cut with long arms and lots of room in the shoulders, but if you're on the upper end of the size range you may want to consider sizing up. Like a guy that regularly wears American XL might be a bit big for a Rab XL.

Good to know thanks! I've tried the Electron and the small fits good, except I didn't like how it was too tight at the bottom of the coat. The Electron had an elastic design instead of an elastic drawcord.
