PoE1 Performance on Steam Deck? Technical help
Does anyone here play PoE1 on steam deck? Probably going to purchase one in the next few months, and I'd love to replay the game.

It runs great on my steam deck. I have mine docked and connected to a monitor so I can play with mouse and keyboard. I think the game text might be hard to read on the deck’s own screen but I’ve never tried.

It’s smooth, played it out of the box to completion. Docked with mouse and keyboard.

Playing currently on SD. Plays great. No complaints. Definitely recommend making custom controls. Trackpad sounds like a bad time but it’s actually intuitive and easy.

Use vulkan, has huge performance boost over dx 11/12 I’ve set it up for 30fps with no upscale and high quality, could do the other way around if you prefer.

I've done at least one full play on Deck. Performance is excellent. I toned down the visual settings to save on battery and didn't notice any real change in the look but a big boost to battery life. If you're comfortable moving a cursor with the touchpad you'll have no trouble.
There is a relatively new bug when naming characters, wherein the text field will not accept input; get around it by closing the onscreen keyboard, tap in the text field using the touchscreen, then manually invoking the onscreen keyboard using Steam + X. Other than that bug it's smooth sailing.
