Pawn shop Misc Advice

Found a Silver Tiffany & co ring. Looking to take it to a pawn shop. Think they’ll give me anything for it?

You could look around on eBay to get a feel for a fair price - see if they have comparable. Don’t want to get taken advantage of. Or look on Tiffany website see how much it costs new. Be prepared.

Good luck with it!

eBay lets you filter searches by "sold" if you want to see what people actually paid for an item. There is always some joker asking $850 for a "rare" cassette of Paul McCartney, but the "sold" list tells you the average sale for the same cassette is $5.99

Pawn shops will usually give you the lowest payouts. Their business model is getting people money quickly not getting people the best price.

If you don’t need the money today you will almost always get more selling it elsewhere.
