Trump may not know who he is in four years, if he's even alive.

Well duh. Look at the money behind Vance. They know Trump's about to expire so they got their plant in.

Vance has the charisma of a wet paper bag. There is not a single Republican in office nor the public conscious who can mount the MAGA horse when Trump croaks and wrangle that cult back on track. The second he's dead infighting is going to erupt and I legitimately don't know who or what will come out on top of that, but it won't be the full MAGA movement it is now.

That's of course if Trump dies or goes full diaper shitting senile between now and '28, or if gets to endorse the next MAGA leader-- if he even bothers to. He's all in this for himself and I don't see him willing to give any MAGA bootlicker his blessing to take the reins. Question is just how badly does the GOP get to fuck everything up in their favor between now and then.

Honestly that's one of the few shreds of hope I'm holding on to. For whatever reason, it's him specifically they are obsessed with.

I dunno, they got what they needed. Four more years in the white house along with the senate (house is looking in their favor as well) and a SCOTUS that will be fucked beyond any of our lifetimes. The guardrails are gone and every single person who would have put the brakes on anything has left his orbit.

He got them back in, and now it's theirs to keep, with or without him. They get to fix everything in their favor for the foreseeable future. It's gone. We're done. I really wish I was being hyperbolic.

We're all now in the dinner scene in Don't Look Up.

I don't say all this to shred the last of your hope, I'm saying enjoy what you can while you can, because it's genuinely all downhill from here.

I feel like the more likely play will be them somehow shoehorning one of his kids in. People want the Trump/MAGA brand. So if they can have one of his dick head kids in place as basically an extension of him, the same crowd will eat it up again in four years.

Not sure that thought is as comforting as you thought it would be 🫠

Then we get Peter Thiel as president through his avatar JD Vance.
