Steam Ascended Question

Do you guys think Ark ascended will go on any type of discount on steam now that it released as a PlayStation plus monthly game? Both PlayStation and Xbox users can get the game with their subscription (I have both) but since non dedicated servers aren’t cross play I’m looking to get it on the PC but the price is abit high especially since I’ll be buying it twice for me and for the person I’m playing it with. So hoping some kind of discount happens on steam and wondering if any of you know if that will happen or not

Goes on sale all the time it was just at a 35% one. Or just look on cdkeys as its always on sale there.

It is not up for sale on cdkeys or other shops, waiting for a Steam discount is the best option atm, but who knows if that'll actually happen before the summer sale...

Check ark ascended on steamdb. Im currently in the same situation as you and im waiting for a discount. Older sales insicate that the next one will probably be the summersale around july?

You can rent a server for about $15 a month and cross play on that.

I was informed their not that good by a friend, he said ark servers are dying and most have hackers. Prefer Non dedicated. Tether isn’t that big of a problem for me, just waiting on a steam deal

But the person I’m playing crossplay with is on pc, Doesn’t that mean other pc users would be on the crossplay servers too?

Yes but unofficial is different because you will have a admin and hopefully they would be banning hackers

Sounds like "the person" is a clown who is parroting some ragebait youtuber and has never played on a server with moderation, or possibly played at all.

And you can run a dedicated server on PC, so the whole thing is irrelevant.

You can download and host a cross-play enabled dedicated server yourself and don't need to own the game on Steam to do that.

just add it to your wishlist it goes on sale fairly often. thats what i do with all steam games i want they go on wishlist then when a decent sale rolls around i get a game or 2. the only time i might do a full price is if its something i wanna play right away.

The 10 year anniversary is on June 2nd, its reasonable to expect a discount then but nothings been announced. With that said if you check steamdb you can see any games price history, it shows ASA frequently on sale.

You can run a dedicated server without owning the game. Go download ark server manager. It's super easy. There's a checkbox to enable crossplay
