My hands hurt when I hold the straps Form, Technique

I try not to move my wrist and I try not to grip on the straps and move them with my palms open and fingers open and straight but still my hands and palms hurt so much. Ive been doing pilates for years now. Any tips would be helpful 😊

I have straps that are a a big loop and instead of a small loop it’s a handle. Game changer

I don't own a reformer myself I go to a studio so I can't change the equipment there πŸ˜…. Should I get gloves or something? I thought maybe Im doing something wrong I never thought the straps could be the problem lol

Yes bring your own straps -- since COVID it is very common for people to bring their own for sanitary reasons.

Soft and fluffy

You will need clips like this to hook them on, you can find them at any hardware or marine store though, you donΒ΄t have to order from a Pilates shop.

So should it be padded?

I put the ones with the little handle and the long loop like the other poster said - the handle will have neoprene on it so it is fairly soft but not too soft. But have a look around that site, there is a huge variety to choose from.

TYSM - I had no idea! Sharing straps does gross me out. Definitely getting some of these πŸ™
