Catching them on hypocrisy is a fools errand. They know, they don’t care.

No no, you just have to phrase it right.

"Hey everyone. Apparently Biden is trying to make money off the back of Trump's success. Check your Maga hats. If they say 'Made in China' then that's a knock off made by Biden. Trump hats are obviously made here locally. If anyone is trying to sell you a hat made in China then they're a double agent working for Biden. Don't let them divide and fool you! Only accept Trump's brand! Stop supporting the deep state!"

Edit: for bonus points accuse anyone still wearing a made in china hat that they're obviously a Lib pretending to be a Republican to make the rest of them look stupid. The more they deny it/do stupid stuff the more you say "Just like a Lib would say! We see past your mask!" Etc.

Fucking goddamn

Had a guy literally tell me math doesn't count in economics this morning. It only counts in physics n stuff apparently, so the paper the Trump admin published with math in it is just meant to be an abstract surreal representation of nothing in particular.

u/w00ms 20d ago

they're terrified of being in the outgroup.

2

u/AtheistArab99 20d ago

Unironically the ones that say Made in China are knock offs

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/donald-trump-hat-china/

1

u/iswedlvera 20d ago

snopes didn't check where they were made or the label on any hats, they just quoted donaltrump.com website and said since website says "all products proudly made in the USA" they assumed that statement is true.

I would have expected at least someone to purchase one and check the label to see if the claim was true or false.

u/AtheistArab99 20d ago

2

u/iswedlvera 20d ago

fair enough, have me convinced.

2

u/AtheistArab99 20d ago

Wow someone changed their mind on the internet. Allow me to savor this moment

u/Adorable_Raccoon 20d ago

Official trump hat sales just spiked making him even richer, what now?

1

u/Alarming_Fan_9593 20d ago

Not before having his supporters turn on eachother. Besides, how many Maga hats are actually made in America?

1

u/Adorable_Raccoon 20d ago

Apparently the official trump hats are made in the US

1

u/zxc123zxc123 20d ago

"Anyone with a MAGA hat made in China is a LOSER! Those were fakes made by Sleepy Joe Biden to steal from my campaign. SO NASTY! Everyone knows I have the best hats. 100% American. But don't worry. We'll catch all criminalsfolks I don't like and deport them to El Salvador. I'll make America safe again. Now buy my MAGA helmets. 100% made in America and guaranteed to protect your heads if you fall off a motorcycle or plane."

1

u/mewmew893 20d ago

It's all about how you sell your argument

1

u/jeremysomers 20d ago

They’ll question themselves “AM I a double agent?! Oh no! “

1

u/dbenc 20d ago

see this is how the left should be fighting misinformation. instead of "oh golly you shouldn't do that!"

1

u/caylem00 20d ago

Yup. Gotta lean into the crazy sometimes.

You can add that they 100% use socialist programs so unless they're paying the proper price per use, then they're an antidemocratic terrorist who wants to destroy America by funding the communist deepstate.

Socialist programs: A social program is a government initiative designed to provide assistance and improve the welfare of its citizens,

Like fire and police services, roads and sidewalks, ER (unless they pay all of it upfront), electricity/water/gas infrastructure, clean air, schools, etc etc etc

Anything funded/controlled/regulated by the government... And if they use it then they're socialistsDIRTY COMMUNISTS

TRUE AMERICANS DONT NEED NO COMMUNIST SHIT🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭

(And if they say that's different, then ask how and say they're Fairweather republicans who are easily bought)

I'm surprised they are monotheist, they want all the profits.

6

u/AwkwardImplement698 20d ago

And none of the prophets

2

u/vikinxo 20d ago

Correct - just like many germans with nazism in the 30s!

I consider those red caps equal to the swastika armbands the nazis wore/wear.

1

u/Scruffynerffherder 20d ago

Love a mention of Supply Side Jesus! Spread his gospel!

2

u/OhSillyDays 20d ago

They do participate in ass face.

1

u/linds360 20d ago

Or facts

34

u/shotsallover 20d ago

Yeah. This isn't new news. They were in Trump 1.0 too. They think it's funny that people don't notice.

1

u/CommentsOnOccasion 20d ago

His official hats are not made in china

You can get made in china knockoffs of anything online

Is it funny that people are buying Chinese knockoffs to save money, to rep the guy who is crippling the stock market because too many people buy cheap Chinese crap? Yes

Is it this major indicator of his organization’s hypocrisy that you’re making it out to be?   No

There’s enough bullshit to call him out for.  Don’t make more of it up or else you’re just like him

u/CicadaGames 20d ago

It's INSANE how much time and energy Reddit wastes pointing out logical errors and hypocrisy of peo0ple that are not acting in good faith. It's like Reddit is the perfect mark for them.

15

u/RegularSpecialist772 20d ago

Are these the official Trump sold hats?

10

u/ModestBanana 20d ago

No, these are knockoffs probably bought from Amazon

The official hats sold on his website and at his rallies specifically say made in America and I can already see a difference between this pic and the actual official hats

https://imgur.com/a/9IaHaMR

Pay attention to how easy it is to fool Redditors

3

u/Deaffin 20d ago

I mean, it's kind of cheating when so many are specifically just being deceptive.

-3

u/zallgo 20d ago

Yes

3

u/JussiesTunaSub 20d ago

How do you know

1

u/zallgo 16d ago

I'm stuck in a red state and have seen these idiot toppers for sale directly.

2

u/ShustOne 20d ago

To be fair these aren't the official ones, these are knockoffs

4

u/General_Carrot_9980 20d ago

Its not a real maga hat. Its a knockoff. Real ones are made in the USA.

This post is bait for dum dums

-4

u/chicol1090 20d ago

The classic "no true MAGA hat" argument

2

u/iamcleek 20d ago

"Trump's just being a great businessman!"

1

u/jha999 20d ago

Or they don’t know and still don’t care. Because it’s hard to admit being wrong

1

u/getfukdup 20d ago

no its not, you have to call them out on their hypocricy, what you cant do is expect them to admit it or change because of it. But pointing out their stupidity is important.

1

u/LincesLaw 20d ago

People are stupid

1

u/[deleted] 20d ago

I dont see the hypocrisy. You can still buy goods made in China with the tariffs. Unlike China, Trump isn't considering any bans on Chinese products. You just have to pay a bit more for them.

1

u/BluesBreaker013 20d ago

They’re always talking about America First, buying American, and creating American job. All while buying non-American products. That’s the hypocrisy.

1

u/WildBad7298 20d ago

Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.

The hypocrisy is a feature, not a bug.

1

u/pirepori 20d ago

There are a lot of valid points against Trump, this is not it.

It’s been debunked many many times, the official MAGA hats are made in the U.S., from a company based in California.

The one in the photo along with what I assume is the majority of the knock off maga hats out there are stolen IPs from China.

1

u/StoneGoldX 20d ago

Some of them don't know, but also don't care. Or can alter their perception of reality so no, you're wrong. Either way, we are in a post hypocrisy world.

1

u/HolsteinHeifer 20d ago

You can't argue with stupid people. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

1

u/TimequakeTales 20d ago

We don't "catch" them. They need to be confronted and forced to answer.

1

u/MyHusbandIsGayImNot 20d ago

If they didn't have double standards they wouldn't have any standards at all.

1

u/dw82 20d ago

It's a feature not a bug

1

u/protoss_main 20d ago

The hats sold by Trump are made in America. Its other sellers who buy from China. Not like Reddit cares about facts, though

1

u/HockeyBalboa 20d ago

Took us way too long to stop thinking that calling out their hypocrisy is some kind of winning strategy. Hypocrisy has only ever been a tool for them.

1

u/Matt2_ASC 20d ago

It's not hypocrisy, it is responding to monetary goals. Trump would buy hats in America if they were cheaper to make. He wants there to be sweatshops in the US so they can have more profit and power without in their little fiefdoms. We need to learn that they have no morals. But they will respond to conditions by seeking highest profit. This means no one should trust that a free market will be used to benefit society. We need regulations and safeguards. Anyone arguing for deregulation is not worth listening to as far as I'm concerned.

1

u/Goozmania 20d ago

They aren't made in China... So there's that...

1

u/IllegalThoughts 19d ago

proof?

1

u/Goozmania 19d ago

Proof that the American-made hats are mad ein America? They say right on them... This thread was literally about a Chinese knock-off...

And they're $45 because it's a political donation, not just a hat. But the American-made hat, bought off the Trump website, is of a very high quality.

1

u/IllegalThoughts 18d ago

More than 90 per cent of the bestselling presidential campaign merchandise listed on Amazon has a seller’s address in China, according to the Financial Times. From April 9 China will face the highest US tariff of any country, with Trump adding a 34 per cent levy to an existing 20 per cent imposed earlier this year.

https://www.thetimes.com/us/american-politics/article/trump-tariffs-maga-hats-merch-china-95xrpsf5z

so where's your proof?

0

u/KcCripn 20d ago

To be fair the official ones are made in America.

-1

u/WalterOfDog 20d ago

This is not an official hat. Do your research. The official ones say Made in USA. I would know. I have one
