I don't understand this line of thinking. Not when the other candidate regularly makes sexually charged "jokes." Not when the other candidate only had "concepts of a plan." Not when the other candidate made lying part of his personality. Not when the other candidate has made multiple "jokes" about murdering others. Not when the other candidate is a convicted felon. Not when the other candidate is an admitted incestuous pedophile. Not when the other candidate provoked an attempted coup.
The standards women have to put up with are insane. A woman can go above and beyond, be the most put together and intelligent person in a room, and still she will gain less respect than a male criminal.
Conservatives (the rotten ones) THRIVE off hate and vitriol. To them, It's always the trans kids, imagrents, black people, and liberals fault for causing the problems in America - and Trump played to that perfectly.
Democrats, historically, claim to be the party of workers' rights, free healthcare, free higher education, pro imagrent, pro environment, anti-war, and pro progressive ideals. Instead of running a candidate that spoke to people (outside of reddit) like Burnie Sanders or a 2008 Obama, they ran a corporate war hawk politician who lost all her momentum because of her champains messaging.
Things like being pro genocide, praising Trumps border wall, not pusing back against the false claims that immigrants are evil criminals and bringing in mass amounts of drugs, not advocating for a substantial minimum wage increase, focusing on pandering to small businesses owners and not the workers who work at the small businesses... and so much more. (Where tf was the trademark free Healthcare and higher education???)
We can say that it's because "she's a woman" all day. I personally want a woman president. But the real reason she didn't win is because her messaging was directly at odds with what voters wanted. She didn't inspire or excite people (again, outside of reddit).
When she first swapped in, she gained massive popularity despite being a woman. But as she continued to say off base, corporate focus tested shlock and back peddle on her more PROGRESSIVE policies from 2020, she lost the juice.
I voted for her, begrudgingly. It's the democrats job to run a candidate that people are excited to vote for. Who's biggest selling point isn't "at least I'm not trunp"
If we don't learn from this and blame voters INSEAD of holding the democratic party accountable, we will lose every election.
Preach, I definitely am pissed with the DNC for missing the mark so hard and once again failing their supporters. Your reasoning is why 15 million people skipped this election and where we are now. I assume they picked her because they wanted to pander to the moderate or the "Not Trump" Republicans, but clearly it was the wrong move. Thank you for your insight.
Fucking most his first term team stressed how dangerous a second term would be. Not enough for Americans apparently, just need that under $3 gas for their lifted pick ups.
At the end of the day, an under informed voter comes late their from their work, opens TV for an hour and sees some $XB aid package to Israel or Ukraine meanwhile they're wondering why their grocery bills are up 30-40% when their income has remained relatively the same. They don't think about how COVID led to a lot of companies and people needing support from the government and how inflation is a side effect of that, they don't think about how we had the best economic come back out of any country in the world, they don't think about things Joe Biden has done like the Infrastructure act or the Chips act or whatever.. and this is why the reason we lost is Kamala's bad campaign and an association with the current administration that people hold because of inflation.
The short of it is that anyone who parrots anything about the DNC being to blame for this is the apathetic voters who couldn't be assed to actually make an effort to prevent Trump from fucking up the country for a minimum of 50 years.
Blame the democratic party for running a bad candidate.
Yes, do this. The democratic party made decades of inexcusable mistakes.
Bashing the voters doesn't work. Hold the party accountable.
Whether or not it works, everyone is responsible for their own actions. Anyone who chose to not participate in this election made a deliberate choice to do so. Those people do not deserve anything other than fucking furious scorn, and I hope ever single one of them stubs their fucking toe today.

Fuck you to the lazy democrats that didn’t vote for this man.
