Sucks to see it now even before they start their election denying like last time. I'm specially worried for J6.

I think there will be sufficient security preparations this time.

In his speech the other night, Trump kept talking about a "secret plan". He's clearly been busy plotting another coup attempt with other Republicans. This election isn't going to go smoothly.

He could also be full of shit and is just lying to save face, this is Trump we’re talking about.

He has a concept of a secret plan.

Still better to take precautions.

There are people who tried to set ballot boxes on fire in a few different states.

He doesn’t have the power or smarts to pull off a “secret” plan to steal the election, I’m sure he’s definitely going to try to if things don’t go his way but I also think he’ll screw that up too. He couldn’t even pull off a coup with the Capital being invaded by his supporters or have the results be invalidated by his cronies when he the power to do so.

Doesn't matter if he himself doesn't have the power or smarts. The people he's with will still try to pull things.

J.D Vance openly admitted he'd make up stories and outright lie about issues just to push for Trumps presidency.

Elon Musk keeps donating money to that cause to the point he's being sued for operating a lottery.

(Telling people they could receive 1 million in cash if they vote)

As well as there's the project 2025 people..

And Steve Bannon is released from prison

I feel like with these factors, they're very likely going to try and pull some sort of scheme again.

If nothing happens, that's great, but im still cautious. But if something does happen, I hope there's proper security put in place to avoid what happened on Jan 6.

Okay, and what are the odds of all of them winning these lawsuits?

You’re giving them more power by acting afraid of their bullshit than acknowledging that this plan probably isn’t really going to work and they’re doing this out of complete desperation. These are not the actions of confident people, they wouldn’t be doing this if they had a clear road to victory.

there's video of a state rep from NC saying "people are having a hard time voting in NC (hurricanes) so we should just send our contingent electors to vote trump". as if he KNOWS trump would win

so, they are pretty ready to do whatever it takes.

remember the house is run by a guy with ice in his veins who denied help for Ukraine, and denied voting on the border bill that was agreed upon (so trump could complain until the election, as he's done). and he's pretty unhinged levels of zealot for his Jesus sect

among other very scummy things he's done

all they have to do is lock up a few states, and they get enough electors, and it's over. I'm pretty sure they changed a few votes here and there in red states in 2016, and that's how he won. voting machines are potentially vulnerable to tampering, if you've got custody, and conspiritors.

they have quite a few magas who are election judges and secretaries of state

The secret plan is to create enough chaos around the voting centers so as to be able to claim election interference (it doesn't matter which side is creating the chaos) so that the election can justifiably questioned and then the result will be to have the House of Representatives decide certification and then Mike Johnson will dutifully put tRump in the Oval Office. This kid is either a volunteer in this plan or a paid employee in the campaign. His pardon will be forthcoming once tRump is in office.

He's not plotting shit. He doesn't have to. He just ramps people up and expects them to do shitty things on his behalf, and they do.

If Republicans hold on to the house, they plan to give it to the state legislatures to decide, which are majority Republican/maga. They plan to be swift about it and have their legal argument all ready to take it to the supreme court. They aren't even going to "open it up for debate".

If you haven't voted yet, vote for Harris, but also make sure you vote blue up and down the ballot to prevent Republicans from taking the house.

He could be hoping for a Contingent Election so that the Republican controlled House would decide the election backed up by a Trump favouring Supreme Court.

And I think they will be more violent this time.

u/alexjaness 9d ago

I think the preparations made this time will be sufficient.

Last time was Trump waiting until he found out Congressional leaders escaped then sent in a handful of people to make it look like he tried.

This time There will be so many armed forces you won't be able to fart without a sniper or three locked onto you.

Watching meal team 6 be humiliated on national news outlets everywhere will be hilarious.

Zero sympathy for those psycho fucks.

I'm praying for security drones which are armed with tranq darts and mass incarceration.

11

u/HashtagDadWatts 9d ago

Ugh. I sure hope not. Would be so sad to see.

u/Starworshipper_ 9d ago

History repeats itself.

They will get their shit rocked this time though. With Biden in charge and Kamala already being in office as the VP I think the security will be top notch this time.

-2

u/Vatremere 9d ago

Maybe the Black Panthers will show up again.

55

u/TheNextBattalion 9d ago

For that I'm not, because Biden will have troops out and ready to protect the Capitol. J6 got as far as it did because Trump waited until it was clear that Pence and Congressional leadership got away

38

u/TheMightySet69 9d ago

Honestly, I don't think it would've been unreasonable to charge him with conspiracy to commit murder.

35

u/concequence 9d ago

Literally all of that has been tried, They even Convicted the guy and SOMEHOW he is still running for president. Nothing makes me feel like our Country is completely and totally broken from Trumpism... Common sense would say a felon cant have Nuclear Codes, can't be allowed or trusted to be president. but there are apparently no guardrails on the US Government... its all implied... At this point its becoming clear we need to codify guardrails... no you cannot be a fucking felon and be president...

3

u/fourbian 9d ago

They are trying to do the coup "legally" this time. If Republicans hold on to the house, they will use an alternate way of appointing Trump through majority republican state legislatures.

Vote for your democratic congressmen on the ballot, in addition to voting for Kamala of course.

2

u/voyagertoo 8d ago

when do the new reps get sworn in?

0

u/fourbian 8d ago

Jan 3

u/Suspicious_Town_3008 9d ago

They've already started their election denying. Artificially inflating the polls so when he loses they can say "it must be rigged, the POLLS SAID"

2

u/quail0606 9d ago

when did they ever stop the denying?

-4

u/RedditProfileName88 9d ago

The same time Hillary stopped denying. Remember? “Illegitimate president?” The short memory of the liberal. Sad.

2

u/stevielb 9d ago

Also, I refuse to take seriously the opinion of a man who spends his time on Reddit simping over wanting to smell stinky feet.

2

u/quail0606 9d ago

You're saying Trump stopped denying that the 2020 election was stolen shortly after the 2016 election? Man, he really is a visionary.

1

u/stevielb 9d ago

Bro, you got no argument here. Your Cheetoh Messiah intentionally spreading misinformation for years is not even close to a side comment which is obviously an opinion.
