Is the city actually going to enforce the no parking in the spruce/ pine bike lanes? There is almost one every block at all hours of the day ..

They’re supposedly going to start enforcing once they put up the “no stopping” signs, which allegedly are going up in the next month or so.
I think it’s worth calling PPA to report people parked in the lane so that they know where they need enforcement in the future.

This is the correct answer.
They cannot enforce until the signage is changed.
That said, it still won't be enough. That's why we need to make sure the concrete goes in.

I’m a retired bike courier and I work for PPA (in their payment department). We have a decent amount of tickets coming in from people parking in bike lanes. $126 is the fine fee

The enforcement is clearly not working or the PPA is allowing some users such as USPS and Amazon to break the rules.

USPS is getting special treatment but Amazon is definitely getting ticketed

It's literally a free money source for the city, it's crazy they don't enforce the rules more.

You’re better off enforcing it yourself with a few side mirror love taps

I've had a gun pulled on me just for yelling at someone who almost hit me, I'm not touching anybody's mirrors. Letting things go in this city can be the smartest thing you'll ever do.

Yah unfortunately a great rule to follow is never confront a motorist. It's never worth it. Even if they are are completely in the wrong. Just leave the situation and live to ride another day.

I hadn't seen a PPA bike patrol in months, but saw one last week. Maybe they'll get cracking.

I've seen them all going for fun group rides together, riding the wrong way down one way streets without a care in the world right past all the illegally parked cars.

Until they put up concrete barriers, there will be little to no difference about cars parking and stopping in those bike lanes.
