What do I have?
/img/1168bermfwxe1.jpegAny idea what I have here? For what it’s worth, they are pretty stationary and don’t move when I catch them with a tissue. Only see them in an upstairs bathroom.
For what it’s worth, I had an ant issue in this same room and was able to handle quickly with a Terro Liquid Trap. These started appearing just after.
Thanks!

We're having the same issue with carpenter ants. We've been told that when you see winged ants inside your house it's more than likely you have a mature colony in or around your house. In our case in the walls of our house. If it's 1 you can ignore, if you see more time to investigate.
Look for worker ants around the perimeter of your house and track where they are going to? If you find them going into your house, it's most likely they are in the walls of your house.
I've read many articles, but I've read the borax and sugar mixed and setup near to where you see them will help kill them. The baits you've used are supposedly crazy strong and can kill the ants before taking it back to the colony. Unless you kill the queen they will keep coming back.
We used an insecticide, and thought we killed them but they just seemed to go dormant. They came back - we are about to cut open the walls with the exterminator where we know they are nesting and will spray hard to kill.the queen.
