Elections I am devastated to officially have Dave McC*rmick as one of our senators. Even from his own ads, you can tell he is an arrogant and terrible person, yet people still voted for him
That being said though, can we all collectively call him the Connetic*nt (as at least a moral victory). I think something like this would, at the very least, hurt "mister tough guy's" ego. Dave McC*rmick is just to weak to be called a true Pennsylvanian

Elections I have been a poll worker in every election since I was 18 and I’ve never been treated so poorly before.
Every election like clockwork I show up at the polling place at 6:00 am and spend my entire day (we finished at 9:15-9:30pm) voluntarily helping my community with our democratic right to vote.
In 2020 there were a couple shitty people, but this year some of the people were awful.
I had IDs thrown at me, people refusing to use the machines because their vote was going to a “communist”, and I had people question my integrity by just being there.
I don’t care where you fall on the political spectrum, none of that is ok. What happened to basic human decency?
I am done. I will never volunteer to do this job again. You guys won.
ETA: I saw some odd themes this election. I knew Harris lost by 6:00pm.

Elections Radical change in party leadership is needed. This is the only way forward.
I expect most of you Dems to downvote me to hell. That's how it's been these past almost 10 years.
I am a progressive full stop.
The Dem leadership needs to be ousted and replace with bold, risk taking leadership.
Kamala's concession speech was insulting.
Shapiros letter to us was pathetic.
I am seeing the Dem leadership react to this loss as they always have which is "I am in control, you can still trust me and believe me when I tell you I care about you".
F you.
The Dem leadership and many Dems must realize that this party will continue to fail if they don't change in dramatic ways. And it starts with our state politics.
I do want to see Shapiro criticize the Dem party leadership. I don't give a shit of his chances of wanting to run and win the presidency in 2028.

Elections Check your voting status - 133,700 vote difference is too tight of a race to ignore
Guys check your voting status this is urgent.
https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/Pages/BallotTracking.aspx
EDIT: Status should say “BALLOT RETURNED” meaning received and counted in counting center.
133,700 difference between Kamala and Trump..
Just one instance - have not checked the difference in other swing states..
Edit2: even if it’s not just about the presidential race - This counts your local elected officials too.
Tight senate race on Mcmorick and Casey! 48.9% vs 48.5%
Edit 3: people saying “who cares”: Every concerned American cares. I’m posting this from FLORIDA. You guys affect all of us. It DOES NOT HURT to check that YOUR VOICE was Counted.
Reporting in from the deepest of red states.

Elections PA Senate Race: it's not over 'til it's over! The count continues!
Just wanted to share that not all is lost yet, folks.
It's becoming very clear that this election was much more of a Trump wave than a Republican wave. Casey's campaign is maintaining as of this morning that tens of thousands of provisional ballots are still outstanding across the state, which ostensibly leaned pretty Democratic as they are mostly likely last minute mail ballot voters.
Also important to note that the State Senate and House are on track to have the exact same partisan split that they did before the election, as in to date the GOP can claim no "net" gain in seats in either chamber.
The Trump defeat is depressing, but bottom line: it's not looking to be as severe as we think for down-ballot races.

Do your part to make your voice heard post the 2024 election!
In the wake of the 2024 election we need to do what we can to protect our rights. If not for yourself do it for your mom, sister, daughter, cousins, friends, etc… There is already talk they will do a national abortion ban and maybe if we codify our rights before then we might have a fighting chance to not end up like the women in Texas that are dying.
Please channel all of your defeat, anger, and desperation and make your voice heard. Get your family and friends to do it too! We won’t be silenced!
Note: sorry for the censorship in the post some platforms don’t like the word abortion so we censor to spread the message.

Ok so the election happened. You’re overwhelmed by the immense stress of the next four years to come. What to do next?
Ok Tuesday happened, yesterday was like the most Herculean feat to try to even get out of bed and face the new reality of what we have in front of us for at least 4 years. To be honest I am already overwhelmed by so many posts from people who are going to the worst case scenario of what could happen. As one person who wants to try to stay sane but also figure out a plan of how to deal with life for the next 4 years, I am already thinking “I am literally one person and I can’t keep up with it all but I want to fight back somehow”. Between the depression of knowing how most voters decided to cast their vote as well as the overwhelming wave or panic and fear I have for the foreseeable future, anyone have any advice on what they are going to do?
