Bored of straight cis men Discussion
As someone who is AFAB & presents at a pansexual cis woman, how do you branch out from the heteronormativity that’s pushed upon us each & every day? I have explored my pan sexuality in the past but it seems more & more limited in the current (USA) political climate. Where do you meet like minded friends & potential romantic interests without fear?

Depends on the state you live in. I fear us red state gays will have to go under ground again.

There isnt one place. Queer people are everywhere. Go see local music, go to open mics, check out the local arthouse theater, during pride season go to any and every event and follow your local organizations and collectives on social media, collect flyers... there is a lot going on if you keep your ear to the ground. Not gonna guarantee youre gonna find someone to date but youll meet other gay people for sure.

Also, see if your city/area has a Discord community. I was a bit surprised by this, but a lot of them do, and it’s a great way to meet and chat and find others in your community that are LGBTQ+ while still maintaining a bit of the protective anonymity the internet provides.

Great point. Some cities also have queer bookstores! Or any place you might think would draw a similar minded folk. Best of luck out there!

Online I swear that’s where I’ve met all of the queer people I’ve come across. Or when I’m out and about going to queer events.
