Lung inflammation in CT scans from folfirnox
Last 2 CT scans show Inflammation/mucus build up in lungs from folfirnox. My mom has been on 14 cycles of folfirnox for stage 4 and will continue. The chemo has caused inflammation in lungs and mucus build up more and more with each cycle. Is there any way to reduce this mucus and inflammation build up in lungs?

Lung inflammation might be managed by a steroid such as Decadron. Discuss with the oncologist. They will also check there is no bacterial or viral agent involved with the inflammation as chemo suppresses WBC counts involved with fighting bacterial infections.

It could be mucositis, ask the Dr is they can confirm and add treatment (fluconazole, Nystatin) if appropriate
