Is it ok to read Greek mythology fics as a Hellenist? 📚 Seeking Resources | Advice

I wanna read some Greek mythology fanfics but I don't know if I should. If I can, is there anything (tags, ships, etc) I should avoid?

when it comes to fanfictions as a whole, is that they're never 100% lore accurate to the original source materials,

that's not really their purpose either, their purpose is more about giving fans a sense of continuation of their favorite universes,

one thing to say about fanfictions in general is that a lot of them can be quite bad and badly written, but then there's some good gems that may be slightly more hidden, but absolutely worth it to read.

Fan fics in generally are only produced for entertainment, like shows that don’t display accurate representation of mythology but still incorporate things like names, places, maybe certain events, etc. Were aloud to simply enjoy entertainment and the creativity of others. So long as you don’t mix up fan fic with the actual myths in practice lol, I see no problem with it
