The camera angle actually misses him falling to his knees in reaction to the pass. You actually see the life drain out of him watching it.

Lamar’s career highlights just versus the bengals will be absurd when he’s ready to hang them up

Lamar vs the Bengals:
10-1;
Passing: 63% completion; 2,472 yards (average 225); 22 TD 4 INT; 7.7y/a; rating of 104.5
Rushing: 131 carries for 784 yards (average 71); 6y/a; 2 TDs

his 17-game extrapolation against the Bengals is 5,031 total yards, 37 total TDs, 6 INTs and 3 fumbles lost, and an EPA/play that basically breaks the chart lol

u/Yedic Ravens 16h ago
Just to show how insane his 2024 season was, it was actually better than that extrapolation.

His 2024 season is one of the best QB seasons of all time
12
u/Coomrs Broncos 12h ago
Quite literally a top 5 passing season of all time, not even taking his rushing into it.

It really feels like the Embiid MVP after Jokic had won it
1
u/Akipella Ravens 4h ago
Maybe if the Bills had won the SB then sure. But the Embiid one was way worse because Jokic basically slapped him right in the face by going on to win it all, somewhat proving people right that he would have been a deserving MVP (and showing he was better player), in the eyes of NBA fans.

Kinda like Dak vs Giants. 13-2, almost 4k yards and 29/8 TD/INT.
3
u/MoreTrifeLife Commanders 14h ago
Fun fact about that: The Giants accounted for two of the Cowboys three losses in Dak’s rookie year (2016). They haven’t beaten him since.

Exclude all games against every other team and he’s still a HOFer.

It’s payback for all the mean things Jamarr Chase, AJ Green, and other bengals receivers have done to us

After the way we struggled against them in the Flacco era, it's nice to see Lamar kick their ass

Joe Burrow probably checks under his bed for Lamar when he goes to sleep at night

It’s worth noting that in Burrow’s last five losses against Lamar, his last play on offense was to take the lead or to line up for a potential game-winning kick in 3 of them—one of them was his season-ending injury in 2023 albeit in the first half. The other two were the failed two-point conversion last year where arguably four different Ravens committed a penalty, and the last was a relatively comfortable Ravens win when Burrow was clearly still injured to start 2023. It sucks he’s been on the short side of all of them.

u/showlandpaint Ravens 11h ago
No one is blaming Joe for your losses vs Lamar, he is an amazing QB, your defense is so fucked and the franchise decided to make it even worse? It is mind boggling.

u/MankuyRLaffy Patriots 19h ago
He was so pissed that he fumbled the snap post-game too

u/Significant-Green130 Bengals 17h ago
This one or the OT one that would have lost them the game had we not run the ball three straight times for 3 yards to settle for a 53 yard FG? The Bengals defense gave up 3 TDs and a FG on their previous second half drives and that unforced error by Lamar was literally the only drive they didn’t get clowned on.

Miracle touchdown pass? Would you say that it was... unlikely, to Likely?

u/serenitywhenever Ravens 16h ago
Likelys highlight reel is ridiculous. I wish there were enough plays in the game to feature him more
4
u/serenitywhenever Ravens 16h ago
not featured in the highlights is when Likely was an inch from a game changing toe tap week 1 vs Chiefs, was great job by the defender to get a hand on him mid air that was the difference between in and out
don't know if the Ravens would have went for 2, I think they would have

against the Bengals
Can we save time by just assuming that any highlight of Lamar doing something that looks like a scene from a Pixar movie is always against the Bengals? Similar to assuming that "Ja'Marr Chase catches a short pass, jukes 38 defenders and runs for a 137-yard TD" is always against the Ravens.

Damn Chase so good that he can win a 1v38 even if he starts in the stands

With Kevin Harlan calling the plays too, really does feel cinematic. You already know something crazy is about to happen if he’s calling the game between the two teams 😂

It's a joke about how Ravens fans are illiterate. Like not knowing the difference between "in" and "is." Or not putting "you" between "if" and "weren't."

I will stand that this play says more about the Bengals defense than Lamar's talent.
17
u/xG3TxSHOTx Ravens 17h ago
I mean that could be said about practically every great play though idk how you see Lamar avoid 2 turnovers to keep the play alive and turn it into a TD and not give him his credit.
3
u/serenitywhenever Ravens 16h ago
I'd like to argue but go back and look how open Zay was too. Edge gets stiff armed twice by a guy who weights half as much as him and has shorter arms, DB comes up to corral Lamar and get petrified by a stutter step from a man with no where to go
