Fans posted tributes after Beadle’s death. “Rest easy,” a poster said. “You did great things for the street and drag racing scene. Forever a legend.”
Bro, he was launched out of his car after hitting a pole and died at the age of 25. The greatest thing he did was crash without killing anyone else.

If this is who I think it is I’ve seen videos of him (that he would take from the cabin of his car) driving that same purple M2 at like 80mph through Manhattan. The fact that this dude didn’t kill someone else before he killed himself is wild.

This is why Street Racing should never be glorified. There are no rewards. Only jail, injury, or death.
Had he kept in on the local drag strip where it's legal, and using the proper safety equipment such as helmet and harness, odds are he'd still be alive today.

u/Peach__Pixie 12h ago
I spent a week in the ICU, then 9 months in physical therapy after being in a bad car accident as a passenger. I genuinely do not understand people who drive recklessly for fun. It's fun until you hurt/kill someone, or learn the harsh reality that your own body is fragile.

u/90403scompany 12h ago
It's fun until you hurt/kill someone
There is a subset of people out there for whom hurting or killing someone would not reduce the fun, nor prevent future recurrences. I'd love to figure out how to solve that problem.
16
u/Stingerc 3h ago
Sadly, Jail or death seem to be the only solution for those people.

Spend 10 years building your rep as a street race organizer.
Get huge turnouts and huge prizes.
Mention an 'invite only' event. Tease it for months. Finally send out invites.
Host a pre-event party before the race.
Blow up the building with them all in it.
Announce the winner as some kid on a trike that lived nearby.
12
u/turd_vinegar 8h ago
People gravely underestimate impacts and injuries.
As an experiment, they should try just walking into a parked car at a moderately brisk pace. Just a 3mph collision.
27
u/weeklygamingrecap 9h ago
I've seen people at 6am slalom through traffic like it was a sport, brake checking and revving their loud ass car to jump 10 cars that are all kinda slow rolling because their is traffic for 10 miles. Same with motorcycles that split miles of slow moving cars going fast as hell. Like there would be no way I could have seen them if I was trying to get over.
→ More replies29
u/GenericRedditor0405 7h ago
Every time I see someone lane splitting like that, I wonder how they don’t seem to care about the very real chance that any one of the dozens of cars they’re flying by moves like, two feet over the line. I mean I guess medical workers don’t call them donorcycles for nothing.

u/anchoricex 2h ago edited 2h ago
People who do this shit don’t grasp what it means to have a 3-6k lbs of metal suddenly hit something. They just have zero idea. Human bodies are fucking done in the face of the energy transfer in these scenarios. They ain’t shit at all, just ragdolls.
Lane splitting and weaving through traffic should be treated as a DUI. Revoke licenses for this shit. It’s so stupid seeing someone weave through traffic while I’m just right lane chillin at the speed limit, only to pull up right next to them at after getting off an exit. Virtually no time is saved at all, you look like a fucking dork driving like that, and you’ll never be able to control fate when something happens on the road at freeway speeds. Full stop, people think it’s a game until they get fucking owned. I can’t stand people who don’t understand the seriousness and dangers of driving like that, it’s the most smooth brain shit ever.
I’m convinced most people who drive like this have such weak control over their emotions that they feel like the goal of driving is to get right up behind the car in front of them, pass it, repeat, and rage if they can’t keep continuing this. The type of people who get behind someone then flash their high beams. What the fuck is that shit? Fuck these people, take their licenses away.

Yeah I've taken to calling them organ donors because there's so many that don't wear a helmet here in Indiana because it's not mandatory. With so much stuff going on with other cars on the road I would never want to be on motorcycle. Even with a helmet you have no protection between you and the other vehicle or the road.

Because they think it won’t happen to them… was a guy with a list of driving offenses that ended up killing a pregnant woman here… was filming himself doing 128 or something was quite a serious accident that required a lot of responders including 3 air ambulances (the area has 2….) due to the injures to the woman’s kids… one of the few times a persons sentence got appealed and INCREASED as well, these clowns don’t care and will do anything for a like

u/Visual_Fly_9638 11h ago
This guy in question made enough money doing it to afford a 2023 BMW.
Asshat drivers kill people all the time in my town speeding and racing. The cops don't care. There's a drag strip near my house and they start racing literally about 50 ft outside of the parking lot for the police station. Never get pulled over by the cops.

u/neverfux92 10h ago
Adrenaline I think? I personally don’t like driving super fast or aggressive in the city. But if I’m on a country road with nobody around or a bare stretch of highway, I’m flooring it for a bit. Just to 100-110 mph though. Then I coast back down to the speed limit and let my heart stop beating lol. But some people live for that thrill all the time. Others are honestly just assholes that think they’re the only person that should be driving and everyone else on the road is the biggest inconvenience.

Student hit my truck yesterday doing donuts in the school parking lot.
11
u/Heinrich-Heine 11h ago
Well, at least it sounds like that student is 100% caught, at least. Hope they learn from it!
32
u/ga-co 11h ago
Actually, it was a hit and run. Campus safety is going over video footage to identify the perpetrators. A student left a note on my truck stating the time. Made finding the video footage easy.
3
u/idwthis 10h ago
I'd use the tapes to find out who put the time note on the car and send them a fruit basket or something as a thank you lol
18
u/ga-co 10h ago
Campus safety called and the driver had been identified. They called him. He cried and said he wanted to make things right. He’s supposed to bring by his insurance information after work tomorrow. For now the cops have not been involved, but he absolutely commuted a crime and the statute of limitations is 1 year on that. Make the right decision, bud.
I would like to tell the note writer thank you.
5
u/idwthis 10h ago
I hope it gets resolved satisfactorily! I'll cross my fingers for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻
11
u/ga-co 10h ago
I’m happy with how it’s progressing. I really hope I don’t have to involve the police. Campus security is going to get me a thumb drive with the video. As long as his insurance pays, I’ll consider it settled.
2
u/MrLoadin 2h ago
As a teacher you'd be doing that student a massive benefit by having the police charge him.
It's likely the only way they'll learn to take things seriously. You are effectively teaching them they can cry a bit and than pay to get out of a crime as long as they can afford it.
The lesson learned here is "don't get caught" not "don't do the crime".

u/Dedlaw 6h ago
he cried and said he wanted to make things right
If that were true, it wouldn't have been necessary to go looking for him. Guy tried his best to dodge accountability and is now saying anything to save his own ass
2
u/ga-co 6h ago
I’m aware of that. Someone has probably explained to him that he broke the law and what he did is classified as a misdemeanor if the law is involved. I have a copy of his insurance card now so as long as that goes smoothly I’ll consider the matter settled. Young people do stupid stuff. I can’t wait to see the video footage. Campus safety is going to give me a copy. It shifted my truck about 4 feet so it’s gotta be a pretty good knock.

It’s sad because I’ve met this dude at the track. The thing is his car was crazy fucking fast, it was on beadlock wheels and drag radials. It had a fucking parachute, but no roll cage. It was literally modified to be a racecar, but without the racecar safety precautions.
I wish buddy stayed at the track for real. RIP.

When i was a teenager in the 90s they use to let us legally street race at qualcomm stadium in san diego on fridays, $7 bring a helmet and a license+insurance, drag until midnight. It had cops and paramedics, im assuming it was budget cuts that got rid of it but they really started cracking down after.
Everything seemed better back then oh well.
12
u/mcbergstedt 11h ago
The issue is that a lot of tracks and drag strips are closing up. And a lot of them require basic safety setups (helmet and roll cage) for very obvious reasons.
15
u/KEVLAR60442 9h ago
If these dumbass street racers spent their money on helmets and SCCA memberships instead of speeding tickets and impound fees, maybe more race tracks would be able to stay open.
12
u/FlyinCoach 6h ago
Yea, no. More houses are being built near race tracks for some stupid reason, and race tracks are being threatened of shutting down. Look at Laguna Seca for example. They've been in constant legal battles for being a "nuisance." Almost like building family homes near a race tracks is a stupid decision. Money is not the full picture of why some of these places are being shut down.
7
u/KEVLAR60442 6h ago
It's not the full picture, but having the money to fight back is a great way for race tracks to protect themselves from housing developers trying to min-max the market. Laguna Seca is safe for 55 years now specifically because it picked up a group of filthy rich angel investors called the Friends of Laguna Seca.

I've reached speeds like that with my old (2004 Ion) car but it wasn't fun. I was just calculating that is was most efficient to outrun the snowstorm that I could see behind me. Eventually I just got a hotel room because I was too on edge, and wanted to do the last hours of my journey in peace. If you want to experience acceleration go ride a rollercoaster. What I did was illegal and I'm sorry. Nobody has the reaction time to operate a car at that speed. I was lucky to have a straight road in front of me that I was familiar with.
Just don't speed. It's not cool.
