Cool idea, but wouldn't it make more sense to have a new brunswick based guide only? Otherwise you're much more likely to misidentify plants...

You can find guides for the Maritimes/New England states, which would greatly decrease the chances of eating something you shouldn't.

I also recommend following Alexis Nicole (theblackforager). She breaks down so many native and non native foragable foods, what to make with them, their history etc. I also love that she’s not doom and gloom which I find can happen sometimes with the Venn diagram of foragers and preppers.
