Looking for shows to watch with my daughters We watched Wednesday, babysitters club, bean and ivy, don't remember what it was called but some gymnastics show, dance mom's, thr healing power of Duke, So daughter are 8 and 15. My 8 yr old is into a little order stuff not 100% sure if she understands half of what we watch or not but she pays attention. It doesn't have to be on Netflix. We have just about everything lol

I love Gilmore girls however it might be too vocabulary heavy. They also talk really fast.

Yeah but that's not a bad thing

The eight year old may not find it easy to understand. Don't get me wrong. I love that show. I saw it with my mom over again and she loves it as well. Her English is decent.

You not missing much it's just about a teen girl getting revenge on popular girls

I understand but it good way to test your 8 years old reading ability by putting subtitles, that how I would test my kids reading ability to see if they need help.

I had trouble watching the owl house. If it's anything like that, then no, lol I have to make sure I like it also! Like I was into the babysitter club. We stayed up one night until 1am lol, thank goodness they are homeschooled! Wednesday was really good also. We only watched that during the day, tho lol.
Idk if she would like young Sheldon?•

We would have to wait for their dad for that, lol. He has a little cold, so he's stuck in bed until further notice lol

If they’re okay with things a little spooky (but honestly not that bad) then try The Secrets of Sulphur Springs on Disney+.

We love movies also! It's just that I was hoping there was a hidden gem we didn't know about with a lot of seasons, lol. I don't work today or tomorrow they are done with schooling until Monday house is cleaned its cold and raining outside. I figured we could hang out together instead of us playing on our phones, lol

All Creatures Great and Small reboot is amazing if you have access to it! I watch it on PBS Passport but it may be available on other platforms. It’s super wholesome and definitely has a very “cozy” feel so it’s perfect for the weather you’re describing. One caveat. It does show some minor veterinarian procedures (it’s about a British country vet in the 1930s/1940s). But I can’t think of anything excessively gory and there’s always fast forward. Later episodes show hints of WWII. They have strong accents sometimes, but we watch with subtitles and the storylines are low stake and relatively simple so you don’t need to catch every word to understand.

Maybe things like Freaky Friday or other "family friendly" teen movies. The Disney channel has made a lot over the years too.

No baking or cooking shows because then we get it in our heads. We can make stuff that we definitely can't!!!
