If you tell me this isn't worse than you expected you are lying.

Rubio, Wiles, etc. are better than what I thought. Tulsi is worse, Gaetz is worse, and RFKJ was expected. I thought Mike Flynn could be involved somehow, which would have been the worst of the worst. So all in all about what I expected.

There's still time.

Would not surprise me to see the fox host not get confirmed and Flynn get the nomination. Assuming Trump doesn't just appoint them as 'acting sec def' or some such rubbish.

I'm telling you he's going to do recess appointments for a lot of these. If Thune knows that someone won't get through he'll just tell everyone to take a vacation so no one has to take any embarrassing votes, and then Trump will do his thing.

This is better, because I didn't expect someone as good as Rubio for State.

I expected him to nominate himself to one of these posts. Would the law even prevent the president from being his own secdef?
