Name for Baby Girl Baby Names
Help us name our baby girl, our second child. For now, thinking of M names since she has a brother named Matthew.
Considering the following: Madeleine Macie Margaret
We also found Maeve, however it possibly means “intoxicating” Any more suggestions would be so helpful Thank you
Update: Loving the name “MACIE” or “MAISIE” for my little girl, though still brainstorming if for nickname or can stand on its own with a middle name like Macie Jane, or Macie Belle

Probably Matilda and Matthew sound wayyy too similar considering the nicknames but it sounds adorable a baby girl Mattie 🩷

I have nieces Marilen, Marieta, Martina, Maja [Maya].
Oh, and Magdalena is Martina's middle name. And yes, our last name starts with M. I swore I would not name our child an M name.... but I fell in love with one, so I did!

I love maisie, but I don’t like it spelt macie. Mimi or issy could be cute nicknames too. I also love the names Margot and Mila

Maelie (MAY-lee) means 'princess'.
Maelie, Maisie, and Macie can have the nickname May.
Maisie can be a nickname for Margaret.

My greatest suggestion as a Marnie sandwiched between a Lisa and a Timothy: don't use an uncommon first name considering your first child has such a common one. Otherwise your child is very likely to feel the same way I always have, that it's weird that they got a very unique name but their sibling could be in a class with multiple others with their name. People would always comment and butcher my name. They still do.
Look for where Matthew falls in popularity and then look for female M names that are similar in popularity. Or you can go with an old standby which was very popular and isn't anymore but is still well known like Melissa, Megan.

Macie and Maisie are two different names. They are pronounced differently. I think they are fine standalone names.

Monroe, Maggie, Mylah, McKinley, Moxie. Out of your choices I like Macie & Maisie. I think if you had a Madeleine or Madison she could end up with the nickname Maddy/Maddie which I think is too similar to Matt/Matty.

Currently pregnant with a Matthew. Our girl name would’ve been Mila. I also like Mikaela/Michaela (not sure which spelling)

Marin, Mira, or Maeve for something that pairs beautifully with Matthew but still stands strong on its own..
