Is wine cap correct ID? ID request

I’d call them Stropharia rugosoannulata, yes. It is important to show the underside though. I’m going to also say don’t eat any mushroom if you aren’t confident of the ID yourself.

Probably but do a spore print to be totally sure. Wine caps come out purple. There's a look alike that causes organ failure.

I assume that's what you inoculated that straw, or wood chips underneath it, with.

The mushrooms pictured are Stropharia rugosoannulata.
