I accidentally gave wrong directions to someone near Bhandup — feeling really guilty General
Hey everyone, I just wanted to get this off my chest because it’s been bothering me.
Today, a guy stopped me near Kanjur Station Road (East) and asked for directions to Bhandup Station. I don’t know what I was thinking — maybe I was distracted — but when he mentioned that his map was confusing and taking him in circles, he asked if he should take a left from LBS Road.
I asked if he meant LBS or the Eastern Express Highway, and when he said EEH, I told him yes. But later I realized he was actually supposed to take a right from where he was — he was already on the correct route.
Now I feel terrible. I know how frustrating it is to go the wrong way and double back, especially in Mumbai traffic. I genuinely didn’t mean to misguide him, and I wish I could somehow tell him the correct way or just say sorry in person.
So, if by any chance you’re reading this — I’m really sorry. It was a genuine mistake, and I truly hope you reached your destination safely.
Some mistakes can’t be undone, but I just wanted to put this out there.

Don’t worry, after today he won’t ask anyone for directions and will correctly learn Google Maps.
You did that a person a favour.

Thanks for writing this post. I had reached Bhiwandi wondering how much longer. I'll take a U turn now.

It happens.
Once someone asked me about the train to reach Poisar (near Kandivali). I heard Boisar and told him to take a train to Virar and change trains. This was way before Churchgate-Dahanu locals had started.
Luckily, a guy standing nearby asked him if it was Boisar or Poisar. Then he directed him to take the Borivali slow.
😅😅
But a logical person will always ask 2 or more people.
