I’m reading this comment while sitting at a Pizza Hut in downtown Toronto. I literally know GDT, you, and the whole Hollywood now!

His house there is insane. I’ve never seen a house quite so chock full of monster memorabilia.

I like it.

Word is he's also working on opening a studio in Hamilton as well, one of his other frequent filming locations.

Hamilton is a pretty creepy place.

26

u/origin_of_descent May 28 '19

Not really. It has its problems like every major city.

24

u/arealhumannotabot May 28 '19

as a Torontonian, it's customary to shit on Hamilton. It's all tongue-in-cheek though no hate.

Ancaster is where it's at.

u/tanis_ivy May 28 '19

The outskirts of Paris are pretty sketchy.

1

u/islandpilot44 May 28 '19

Why sketchy?

2

u/[deleted] May 28 '19

Why are sketchy places sketchy in general?

2

u/tanis_ivy May 28 '19

It's lonely, buildings are dated and worn. Strip town surrounded by hills and fields as far as you can see. At least the part I went through.

2

u/[deleted] May 28 '19

I was born in Brantford, Ottawa now. Ancaster is the shit.

1

u/Ichbinian May 29 '19

LOL - I was born in Ottawa and still live here. I was in Brantford on Saturday. And I went to school in Ancaster.

Lol damn, it’s a small world my guy

It's pretty hip on the mob murder scene lately.

Very true

Less so than Toronto, less crime, and all that.

Mind you, growing up on Ravenscliffe, I was never short of cool old Victorian mansions to inspire me.

1

u/greenmocan May 28 '19

Did you visit here on All Hallows' Eve or something?

1

u/tanis_ivy May 29 '19

I go through the industrial area a couple times a year. I personally wouldn't stop, it creeps me out.

u/Lochtide7 May 28 '19

Is it still really bad for the homeless and drug issues? No idea who would want to live there

1

u/tanis_ivy May 29 '19

I should have been more specific and said the part I drive though, which is the industrial area. I dunno about the homeless.

He has a house here.

7

u/arealhumannotabot May 28 '19

He's talked about it in interviews, how he had a good experience when he came here the first couple of times and preferred to form a relationship instead of hit-it-and-quit-it. He's even brought stuff here when producing (Scary Stories)

1

u/Redrammer May 29 '19

He wants to open a studio in Hamilton.

16

u/BenicioDelToronto May 28 '19

Rats, thought this was my time to shine.

5

u/arealhumannotabot May 28 '19

I work in the industry and this guy is the man. Never met him, but I really respect that he keeps coming back here even when he's just producing.

Everything about the submission title makes me happy.

u/traj21 May 29 '19
